Let's invest more draft capital to get another TE. The season isn't over. Basically Tombert is a reverse King Midas the last few years. Whatever they touch turns to ****.

I think we all knew this was going to happen. Guy is a good player but is strictly made of glass, always, always hurt. I knew when Jesse James left we were in trouble with McDonald's backup the infamous Grimble. I have no idea who the hell is out there left that doesn't have a team but it can't be good.

Vance needs to retire. Dude is one of the most fragile players ever.

The lack of movement by Colbert on shoring up the TE position this off-season remains inexplicable. Especially with the ever-fragile McDonald as the only true TE asset on the roster.

Still scratching my head over this. I've heard rumblings Colbert is ready to retire, perhaps he's lost his focus here at the end. Maybe, he just simply forgot about the TE position altogether, as he was focused on moving up in the draft, or considered free agency over and done with after bringing in the likes of Moncrief & Barron.

I think a 3-13 or 4-12 season may contribute to Colbert's retirement. I hope Butler, Smith and Finctner's exit follows. Tomlin. . . wishful thinking, as he's here until Ben retires. If a team need a new direction, it's this one!

LOL.. Colbert huh? So Butler sucks as DC. Fitchner sucks as OC. Now Colbert sucks at talent evaluation. I wonder who is missing from this list??? Who could it be? I wonder who else is tasked with finding draft picks that works with Colbert?

That's not what I wrote, stop frothing at the mouth. I said it was a mistake - and remains a mystery - why Colbert didn't shore up the TE position this past off-season. That has nothing to do with talent evaluation. It's simply ignoring the fact we didn't - and still don't - have enough able bodies at a given position. Last I checked, that's still Colbert's job to try to sign a competent, free agent TE, before or after the draft.

Vader, I realize you're down the rabbit hole at this point, and each and every football conversation has to start and end with bashing Tomlin, for you to be satisfied.

I've written elsewhere the Colbert/Tomlin era may soon come to an end and there will be fundamental regime change, probably at the end of the season. Until then, try to temper your outrage, at least momentarily, if we discuss football on this board, that involves anything other than nailing Tomlin to the nearest cross.

I understand you have to stick up for him and talk about him and others in vague ways because you don't want to out right say it. But I've talked about many other things on here the last day besides Tomlin. If you can't see that then you are blind. I wrote an entire post talking about many other things including Tomlin. I've wrote about Ben, Mason, Bush ETC... but somehow you see what you want to because of your Tomlin love. I get it. You like the guy and don't want to say anything negative besides "Well Colbert/Tomlin might be fired". But never anything directly bad about Tomlin. You need to temper your love for Tomlin and you hate for all things not Tomlin. It would make your posts more balanced and believable.

This one is on Rudolph. He was overthrowing balls early and often and this one was way too high. McDonald went up for it and got cracked. Doesn't happen if he hits him in the chest.

yep and he was wide open on that play.

I understand what you are saying, but there also comes a point where does anything else really matter. Can this team possibly turn a corner before Tomlin is gone. So everything else around it is really smoke and mirrors and moot. All the coordinators and positional coaches are his responsibilities.
