Maybe.....but if it is true about how much Tomlin took control of the defense on game days I bet he was hoping to get the axe. I would have. Here I have been bitching about Butler and his lame *** defense and Tomlin has been screwing with it possibly.

I don’t think we have a lot of talent on that side of the ball but that’s not an excuse. Look over to NEs defense and they have a bunch of no name guys in their front 7 with some average guys in the secondary but they find a way to get stops when needed.
No reason our defense can’t hold a team to under 28pts or under 38pts in the playoff game.

Even the most die-hard Tomlin supporters are reeling with this. Tomlin IS the problem.

Hopefully enough people are now paying attention that he'll have to address it. Not that it will matter. I honestly don't think he understands football well enough to effectively coach.

Unless Coach Cool Shades is replaced this will NOT be an easy fix. Try as they might it just won't happen. I'm not saying it can't be but it will be awfully difficult with Tomlin still in the mix. A new coach with a new DC and new assistant's would be the ONLY sure way to fix. I know that is a complete overhaul of a SB caliber team but I don't see any other way. No if Coach Cool Shades proves me wrong........ Well I'll gladly eat 4-helpings of CROW.
