Martavis decision could be upcoming (reinstated on a Conditional basis)

I don't remember Gordon ever having one. That's right...he relapsed...

Shouldn't the NFL help the players with one, as opposed to a player that was suspended for a year to figure it out on their own. Thanks NFL, you REALLY care about the players...

PS. **** GODELL!

All kidding aside....**** Bryant and his smoking weed. I dislike Goodell but I could care less if he reinstates Bryant or not. I almost wish the Steelers would cut ties with him at this point. Maybe he comes back and he plays like he did. Maybe not. I'm am just tired of the selfishness players we have on this team. A me first attitude has blossomed on this team. Would it make out team weaker if we cut him? Probably. But at this point we can never count on him playing a full season anyway and it cripples us to a point.

I don't get this idea of a relapse plan. He tests positive again, he is out. What more of a plan do you need than that?

Seems like there should have been a relapse plan put in place after he tested positive the very first time. It seems too late now.

So, nothing new? I keep looking, but have found nothing thus far : /

WTF ?????? Nothing like punishing the STEELERS with a "no decision" yet.

Salute the nation

Just write I will not smoke pot 500 times. Done. It's getting ridiculous. How much more of a lesson does a grown man need? He's done his time. If he does it again he has to know his career is pretty much done.

The question is: why wouldn't he be reinstated?

The Steelers should just proceed as if it is inevitable, because it is, its just a matter of when....

They should also proceed as if he wasn't on the roster, as in one more slip up....... he won't be.

Pathetic that it's two days before the draft and we know nothing about Martavis. The commissioner should be held accountable for not sticking to the deadline that has been passed for a month now, which is actually putting the team in a horrible position. We will now have to take a WR with a high round pick that could have been used for a position of stronger need. I imagine Art II has tried to apply some pressure on this situation, but if he hasn't, I feel like he should. This is stupid

Something is missing here........ Maybe Martavious hasn't got all the "correct" paper work / plan submitted. MAYBE possibly his "plan" is missing a component or two.......a sponsored or something we the public may not know about. In any event if someone dropped the ball, let's get it rolling. NO excuse if it's the "rog" causing the headache. Would Art senior have put up with this ****?????

Salute the nation

Draft a pass catching TE who can play in the slot too. Someone like Everett or Leggett and he can cover two critical spots in case **** keeps happening with Bryant and or ladarius green.

Posted 4 minutes ago
Martavis Bryant has been reinstated by the NFL on a conditional basis.

Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert on Martavis Bryant Reinstatement

Martavis Bryant has followed the protocol and has been conditionally reinstated by the National Football League. We appreciate that he has taken the necessary steps in an effort to get his personal life in order. We also understand this is just the beginning as he works to return to the team and meet all of the conditions of his reinstatement.

We look forward to working with Martavis to ensure that he is mentally and physically prepared to contribute to our efforts on the field, while also maintaining the proper balance to keep his life in order off the field.

MARTAVIS BRYANT REINSTATED ON CONDITIONAL BASIS

May Join Steelers at Team Facility;

NFL to Evaluate Progress Before Start of Season

The NFL notified MARTAVIS BRYANT of the Pittsburgh Steelers today that he has been reinstated to the NFL on a conditional basis.

Bryant may join the Steelers at the training facility and participate in meetings, conditioning work and similar activities. Once arrangements have been confirmed regarding Bryant’s clinical resources in Pittsburgh, he will be permitted to participate in all preseason activities, including practices and games.

Prior to the start of the regular season, the NFL will review Bryant’s progress. Based on his compliance and engagement with his program and resources, he will be permitted to participate in all regular season activities beginning in Week 1. He will be evaluated later in the season for full reinstatement.

Bryant had been suspended since March 2016 without pay following multiple violations of the NFL-NFLPA Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

That's great news. I'm sure we all sincerely hope he can stay clean.

Good news. I can only assume this is standard operating procedure and Goddell isn't making him jump through all of those "conditional" hoops because he plays for the Steelers.

Reinstated on conditional basis because he submitted paperwork to the league on some EZ Wider 2.0 rolling papers.

Now the countdown can begin to when he goes on permanent ban from the league. Even odds he doesn't make it past preseason

About damn time.

what do you want to wager?

Welcome back Martavis.
As a fan happy to hear

As a person. Hope he stays clean(not getting my hopes up too high)

I will say, Martavis looks like he's been hitting those weights hard in that video. If his speed and athleticism is still there. I am popping a raging steelers boner thinking of the offenses potential

Brown - Bryant - Bell - Ben
Killer Bs are back!

I've never heard of a conditional acceptance back to the NFL. It seems like any reinstatement would be conditional, if they don't repeat their offense. This is inane and the league is a ******* joke. If they responded in time, in Feb, then Martavis would have been fully accepted by the draft.

**** Goodell.
