From @MikeGarafolo and me: #Raiders WR Martavis Bryant is facing another suspension, pending appeal. Explains his release. He was recently informed."

that trade is looking better every second of every day.

Just think about this. Steelers draft another promising WR in Washington. Then in the process trade Bluntavis Bryant for a third, and get a real promising QB that should have been drafted higher.

Faiders get a dud ripe for suspension, ultimately cutting him.

Colbert stays winning !

.

EPIC trade! Colbert may not always get it right... but THIS... is approaching legendary status!

We rid ourselves of an ongoing headache-of-a-guy that would be gone in a year anyway. We gain a 3rd round pick.

AND... we get to shiv the Raiders!

.

Wow, Bryant and Josh Gordon have some serious issues, And to hear how the Browns gush over him on Hard Knocks is incredible, never ever build your team around a drug addict.

HAHAHHHAHAHAHA HahAH AHA aHA HAAH HaH DHAH HAHHAHAHAHHHHHAHHAAHHHAHAH

Holy ****! Man are the Raiders dumb!!!

We got a potential franchise QB, and they got a suspended druggie.

Wow, what an epic trade!!

Dammit, too bad we didn't get Mack...

**** maybe he gets his act together realizes how good he had it here and sign for vet min and serves his suspension.

Or not.

****, he's out for another year if he ****** up again. Dude is done. He'll never play a down of football in the NFL again. He needs to leave for the CFL or AFL if he ever wants a paycheck playing football again.

Remember how much burst he lost with the last time he had a year off?

Wouldn't it be something if Rudolph turns out to be a hall of fame QB?

third suspension how do these players continue to be able to sty in the NFL.. Sure takes away from the quality players in the league

If Rudolph becomes our franchise after Ben, this trade beats the Bettis trade, and makes up for cutting Unitas...

Best post of the day, I might as well turn off my computer.

Nothing will ever make up for cutting Unitas. One of the single dumbest moves in sports history.

All he did was throw TD passes....oh wait.....was that another player?

When I covered sports I remember several coaches / team officials lamenting how much they hated going on road trips to Oakland. The drug culture there had a way of dragging in athletes, even if there for just a day or two. I wonder if that happened to Bryant.

Im 1987, Houston Rockets guards Lewis Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins, after getting cocaine in Oakland, tested positive and were banned by the NBA for two years. It was a major setback for the Rockets, who were led by a young Olajuwon and up to then were considered a contender for an NBA title.

And a few years later they cut Len Dawson, who became a Hal of Fame QB with the Chiefs.

So does this mean Landry Jones will....oh, never mind.

Well he does have that nifty porn stache perhaps his career can take off in another direction.

:hat:

Rather than Unitas, I would have said it makes up for passing on Dan Marino...., only because it was more recent... in an era many of us could relate too.

Marino could have been a Steeler in the 80's. The decade of Steeler mediocrity yet we made the playoffs 4 times. Imagine what we could have done with a real QB.

And he would have continued through the best teams in the 90s.

Glad we got rid of the addict when we did and for what we did.
