No way he's around late in round 1. For sure it will bump someone deeper but that's all it helps us.

Some teams have him a rd 2-3 corner. That seems nuts, but it's good for us.

I will admit there's a lot of questions about him that will need to be answered. Listed at 5-11 so does that mean he's 5-9? How big are his hands? 8" or 9.5"? What's his shuttle and 40 times? Does he catch the ball naturally or does he fight it or let it get to his chest? Some film looks great like he's in his mans back pocket the entire route. Vs. Notre Dame Will Fuller was open a lot on these out routes while it look liked Alexander kept him from blowing the top off by staying deep a better QB would have made a field day with those 10 yard routes moving the chains. Was that by design? Did Alexander or the D coordinator know the QB had trouble with out routes so they let Fuller break free stopping a double move and a big play or was Alexander just scared of getting beat deep.

I guess what it comes down to if he runs a 4.55 and measures 5-9 with 8" hands and doesn't look good catching the ball I probably drop him down to a 4th round pick. If he measures 5-10, runs a 4.4, and has 9" hands and looks good catching the ball I am fine with pulling the trigger at 25. I'd love to be a fly in the interview room though because I would love to know the reason he let Fuller time and time again get open underneath. I feel a stud CB would have been baiting the QB and then break on a route for a pick six but maybe it was just the game plan or maybe Alexander planned on baiting the QB and getting him to lull into that route but the QB just didn't have the arm to get Fuller the ball. I don't know but I would love to talk to him about it.

I just want a corner who can change the course of the game. As for Lebeau. I'm sure he cared about int's. The guy is a legend

On multiple occasions his players said "hard hits are more important than interceptions." That mentality is antiquated and just plain stupid and hurt us his last few seasons in Pgh.

As stated, if his hands are good at the combine we'll have no shot at him @25. But hopefully it causes another player to drop down boards to us.

I like Jimmy Johnson's mentality with player evaluation: His PRODUCTION on the past level trumps all else. There is a reason he has ZERO ints in college. It's no fluke. I want turnovers. They make all the difference in wins and loses.

as been shown previously and prior, it's LIKELY due to the few opportunities he had.
but continue not reading.

Spoken for truth. Also if his argument is correct, as someone stated earlier Hollimon had 14 Ints his senior year alone and there is a reason for that, so according to your demand for production, not only were the Steelers foolish for cutting him, but they should've have taken him 1st rd and were dumb to wait until the 7th. See that idea simply doesn't work, because there is absolutely a reason Gerrod had 14 ints, but there is also a reason he isn't on the team anymore.

Give it a rest Pop you're forever making outlandish claims and associating them with people with no factual basis whatsoever.

Lebeau's defenses had plenty of INTs when they had a pass rush and good DBs. The last few years the steelers haven't had either so INTs fell off. Last year the pass rush was better and there were more INTs.

It's true that Lebeau's system allows you to get away without the top notch CBs but that doesn't mean the system works with just anybody out there. The CBs have been below the line for years now and it has only been the scheme that has managed to mask that at all.

Not to mention how many drops there were, especially from Taylor.

Jarvis Jones is a lock to be a great outside linebacker, just look at his production in college.

One could argue that a low amount of throws in your direction and a low completion percentage on said throws is a pretty strong case for production. If he was the weak link, they'd have been targeting him all day.

**** your logic! the guy just sucks cause he doesn't have ints

To reiterate, please show link for "hard hits are more important than interceptions". I've been privy to two open coach sessions with Coach L. Not once has he postulated what you have said, or players coached under him. His scheme involves stopping the run, putting pressure on QB for miscues, whether it be with sacks, T/O or down and distance, and get off the field on 3rd downs.

Darren Perry, DeShea Townsend and Pitt's own Carnell Lake played his system. Never seen documented they saying your comments. You opine Ryan Clark has. Please give the link for this. He's a frequent contributor to ESPN and articulates well the scope of the game. Never heard him say, write or tweet what you are stating.
