Live Le’Veon Bell News

The agent (and Bell) couldn't be anymore wrong. The Steelers were prepared and made an offer last year to set the market by a significant amount and there were reports this year that offer went even higher.

We know by Bell's twitter that he wasn't overly intelligent. He just confirmed what we have been seeing. We can just add his agent to the idiot equation.

Gonna suck for him if he gets hurt... and that he can’t control. He bet on himself..

hope someone wrecks his gutters and steals his downspouts.

wish he was gone from the team

I just read the deal turned down this time was 5 years 70 million dollars.

The Steelers offer was 5 years 70 million dollars with 33 million guaranteed the first two years and he wanted 17 million a year.

Let Bell rap about that offer. Curious on how far apart they actually were. I for one am happy he didn't sign it.

Bell is absolutely delusional. I know the FO won't do it, but if there are any takers for his service this year, the phone lines should be open.

James Conner may not have Bells natural talent, but one thing I do know from following his college career, you will not find a guy that will work harder to get better.

Well, if i'm Gurley and Elliot right now. i'm pissed, the most these guys will see now is 10 mill a year, maybe 11.

So let Bell leave and enter obscurity for the rest of his career just lile numerous others. He fails to understand the Steelers draft players who fit their team which means if he doesnt5find a team with the same offence he'll end up being forgotten. It happens every year. Then the Steelers will just draft another great back. Thanks Bell for your hard work. Good luck where ever you disappear to.

I hope he does sit out half the year and Samuels and Connor play excellent during that period. Bell will see his value drop significantly. He may very well get his $14.5 million per year, every year guaranteed. He just isn't getting it in Pittsburgh. I would be stunned if they get a deal done today.
He will and they will. The Steelers have always been smart that way and high priced Ayers have always made the wrong decisions.

I don't know, if I'm them or Johnson, my starting price is $14 million a year.

turned down $70M over 5 years? Good, I didn't want them to overpay him as they would have with that contract. $6M more than the next highest paid back. Sorry, that's a LB or two solid RBs or a solid corner, etc.

I honestly thought the deal wouldn't get done due to BELL's way of thinking. RB is no longer a true "prize" position as the league has moved to a less friendly run more friendly pass style offense. BELL just didn't get what he was after due to many reason with one of them being he was insane. I'm glad he wasn't resigned as his window is very short due to LOAD berring season after season. I wish him well as a STEELERS player but when he is gone it's

B B b b bye bye

Salute the nation

That's just it. Bells claims he deserves what he is asking because he serves as both an outstanding running back and a prolific pass catcher...

Blame the Chiefs, if you want to pay a middle tier WR like Sammy Watkins 48 million for 3 years. Top tier guys are going to want their cut

That was the best deal he would have gotten as a Steeler. He should get more on the open market, but to resign a commodity on your team, you have to accept a slight discount. Steelers did nothing but keep moving toward Bell's number, and Bell baulked.

Bell lied. He does not want to be a Steeler for life. If he did, he would have taken the deal. Instead he will leave the team at the end of the season.

Im satisfied. The offer was more than fair. Frankly Id have been concerned if it would have went through. I will cheer for him to have a monster year and win a SB. If he believes he can get 17 million ok. He is taking a crazy risk frankly.
