List of all FA moves and who is left

yea, as much as I wanted them to draft Eifert, he is injured too much. There's a reason why the Bungals are not retaining him.

fins are expected to release mike Pouncey as per his request.

fora 2 year vet min deal it cant hurt with all the talent he has if we just use him as a receiver flanked out in the red zone and have him and Bryant on the outside with brown and juju in the slot

Everyone knew that especially when they had to tag him. That was the worst case scenario for improving the D. The only FA we might sign will be Timmons, if we even sign him.

How long until Bell signs it. If he signs it, we have the option of trading him. Right now, he's limiting or future planning for the draft and free agency.

I say give him until early April to sign or flat out release him, and he won't make 14.5 this season. With free agency in play, some teams are quickly spending money, meaning Bell won't have as many suitors to meet his outrageous demands.

Raiders released Crabtree after signing Jordy Nelson and Doug Martin.

yes. please.

not every idea that pops in your head should be put into a public forum.
this is one of those.

Skins resigned ILber Brown, another off the market...

You can say all you want, and you have constantly, but you are wrong. A. The CBA does not mandate a player to sign his tag until he chooses to. If he did, he would be considered under contract and would have to attend all mandatory team functions. Mini-camp, 2 OTAs, training camp. So he won’t risk injury and his future compensation until it’s live regular season ball.

B. Steelers want him, have offered two contracts which are close to twice the going RB market (in line with AP’s numbers from his contract), they aren’t giving him up unless the reward is unbelievable, which is in itself unrealistic. If both sides stays pat, Steelers get a 3rd rd comp. If they agree to a long term deal...then everyone is happy.

To release him now that you’ve tagged him is so idiotic. How many times do you need to be told? If you pull the tag, you lose any rights for next year compensation.

All this talk “we can’t do anything!!!, we have no cap room!!!” We are about $10 mil under the cap. They have room to do what they always do, not overpay. Find players that are cost effective. We had the same cushion last year, plus Bell was tagged as well.......what happened? Two crappy JAX games from hosting AFC championship.

inside linebackers are signing fast. cant wait and hope we get onwe in the draft. I know shazier started his rookie year but he wasn't good until year 2 or even 3. we need someone at ilb that can come in right now this year and play well

Williamson signed for 3 years at 22.5 million with around $16 million guaranteed. The Steelers didn't even bring him in. We're not signing anyone that can start. I'm not even sure if Miami finally released Timmons and if we will go after him. It is mind boggling that they aren't even trying to do their due diligence and at least entertain the thought our D sucks and needs major improvement. The draft won't get us there this year.

Steelers won't muliyear guarantee.

One article I read suggested it was causing the Steelers to lose out on free agents... Didn't seem to stop Haden from coming in though....

Read the same article. Still disappointing they didn't even approach Williamson or any other potential ILB starter or S starter. Unless, of course, they go after the Honey Badger. We can dream, though.

call vaccaro preston brown and tre boston and try trading for kendricks.

Just don't get it? The Steelers had Boston in for a visit during '17 free agency n in his words "it went great," before signing with LAC... coming off arguably his best season n safety being a need, not even a visit??? With almost no apparent market on safeties? Why not use leverage tactics in reverse... have Vaccaro n Boston visit at same time, in different rooms and get one of them to sign? Then try n work a trade for Kendrick? If they're so hell bent on Bell for one year, I'd live with giving up this years 3rd and still go ILB n S in rounds 1 n 2. Worry about Bell's replacement next year if need be. There's not even rumor of players visiting Pitt??? I realize they're rarely big players in FA, but this is ridiculous! The team that got lit up by Bortles is comfortable having rookies be the only off season addition of note? And definitely less Shazier for entirety of season. An argument can certainly be made that the contending team from '17 that was only able to reach, lose divisional game at home has taken a step back???

Did the Fish release Timmons yet? If so, I am surprised we haven't brought him in yet.
