The STEELERS will see him before they sign and actually could require a physical if they so deemed. The STEELERS could withdraw the tag option by July 15th ( I think but maybe anytime). If he shows up adulterated, he will definately huirt his future stock and a GOOD coach would sit his *** and make him earn his way back. ALL this provided he was signed. He isn't going to show up to far out of shape but he may find getting the touches a little harder to come by.

Be like last year. He'll arrive in decent shape but won't be in game shape and at full speed until week 4. And again, last year he played well but this being his FA year I predict he'll play not to get hurt and won't be as good as last year. Playing his last year here at 90% didn't hurt Mike Wallace come contract time.
1) LeVeon doesn't have to and 2) he doesn't give a **** anyway.

Although the chance is low...What if Bell signs the one year tag and then goes onto rush for 2500 yards and 1500 receiving while scoring 30 tds.....what then?
He would look good in the colors of whatever team signs him. Wasn't used properly in Pittsburgh. I'm saying it doesn't matter because we don't have the cap room to sign him. Who are you going to cut to get the cap room? Ben? Heyward? AB? Then you're in the same position the Ratbirds are in with Flacco. Commit too much money to one player and then you can't afford to put a decent team around him.

Chances would be the Steelers would have won the SB at that point. And she’ll would demand even more money and some other team can pay him.
He can’t even break a play longer then 27 yards
Or average close to 5 ypc behind (per the experts) one of the best Olines in the NFL.

But somehow almost managed to be the leagues leading rusher if he hadnt set out the last game. All those carries i know..how many times did he give the ball to the other team??

Yeah i know the truth sucks.. could of been the league rushing leader. Second in catches..no sacks given up..all that after a sluggish start that a team with so many other stars couldnt work around. And all those touches i remember one fumble maybe two.. The Straw that stirs the drink.. best player on our offense

Can't? Before last year, he had a long of, at least 40 yards. 81 yards in one of those years.
while Bell is, arguably, the best RB in the game today, he's not so damn good that he can single-handedly take over a game and demand the defense focus entirely on him. Some can say that is because of AB and our other WRs. But if you look at the games Ben missed, both AB and Bell are helped enormously by the presence of a good/Franchise QB.
Most recently, 10/23/2016 - when Landry started in place of Ben, you can look at the pedestrian-like stats of Bell.
21 carries, 81 yards rushing
10 catches, 68 yards receiving
1 fumble

If Bell signs a 5-year, $75 mil contract with $50 mil guaranteed, instead of a 4-year $60 mil contract with $40 mil guaranteed, is he "giving a hometown discount" at all?
Which would help his chances of establishing a "legacy"?

They all help each other IMO.. and you call those stats pedestrian?? 149 yds of total offense isnt pedestrian to me

Not sure what none of us not seeing what he will make has to do with anything..matter of fact it doesnt. Why should he give a hometown discount at all. This is the only chance he will get to maximize his value.
no way AB gets that nod. And Big Ben is underrated. Both have arguments for being the teams best O weapon.
For me that Franchise QB is the straw that stirs the drink.

Yea, show up for training camp to eliminate the slow start................. or was that slow start due to a certain QB who happens to be the STRAW?????
The mentality of our CMVLT is run him till his wheels fall off........................... the "D" is expecting and have solved his puzzle 3.9ypc and if it wasn't for
AB / JuJu / Bryant, then he would be coverewd with a better DB which would lower his reception average. With all our "star" WR group the opposing "D"
runs out of cover guys.
BELL is pretty good but under over used and his stats show it. In order to keep the "D" guessing one should use different personal at different times....it works.

He had a slow start due to not being in football shape. Its of my opinion we had more then enough weapons to work around that.
3.9 isnt all on him the Oline run blocking wasnt great also.. besides the 3.9 is just one element of his game..if we were talking about a Bettis or parker type back i could see your point. They werent a big part of the passing game..Bell is no matter how much you try to minimize it
Now a hiccup here and there won't detour me from that opinion. I see what other skill sets do once they leave the Burgh. Little to nothing. Big Ben makes that talent better.
But we will all get to see the difference when Bell plays for another team next year. We will have to revisit our opinions then.
Why would you say that?? If anything it becoming more valuable. Barkley going second in the draft Elliot going top 5 before him. Gurley. All backs who arent just runners. Even Fournette went high. How is the position obsolete?

I think, before the last couple of years, the RB had lost a lot of value. Now you are getting players like Bell, Gurly, etc. who can redefine the position and it is becoming more important. How much more valuable is it to be able to have a 3 down back? Seems pretty valuable to me not to have to shift your RB player and still have the playbook wide open.
When compared to the 4 "best" RB going into the 2017 season, Bell's stats for the first 4 games were not significantly different than the other 3. You might say, infinitely, better than David Johnson....
