Really it’s not about “we” spending money....
The Steelers organization would have done so if he wasn’t a polarizing individual who was one drug test from being out for a year ....
Case in point:
Money has been spent on Joe Haden & Roethlisberger—not to mention Ryan Shazier who will never play again.
Let’s be honest, nobody here cares about the contract amount—if he signed we’d be defending it

From his point of view, he knew the drug test thing was in his control and he wouldn't fail another one.
From the Steelers point of view it was "pull the other one".
I wish he would have played under the tag. He rolled the dice and lost. The only thing that bothers me about it is that he pretended he'd be here for the season, then became a ********.
