Getting kicked off the team was the best thing that could've happened to him. Not only that, but we completely ****** ourselves by getting rid of him. Could've helped to actually have an NFL caliber back available for the Ravens game. Now he's playing in the Super Bowl and we're home playing with ourselves... Yeah we sure showed him...

Yeah because Blount was a real monster against the Ravens last week

I really think he should have played a lot more in B&G, but you cannot keep a cancer around. If we keep on running Bell so hard he is going to end up broken every year.

and oh yeah, Blount just scored ..... again. Monster run.

If the Steelers kept Blount, I'd like to think that Bell would not have gotten hurt against the Bengals. However, if he was a bad presence in the locker room, then it was a smart move, even if it hurt the roster.

his release was mutual. He didn't want to be here and many players and coaches didn't want him here. We lost on that deal. He is NE's hero at this moment and we are watching him run to the SB. I just threw up in my mouth for the 20th time tonight.

Aaaah whatever. It really would not have mattered. The NE coaching staff knows how to ******* coach and exploit the weaknesses of the defense they are playing. Had it not been Blount today it would have been Jonas Gray pummeling their *****.

Didn't he walk out on the team during a game? I mean ****, if we did not-cut him the same people would be saying why the hell did we not cut him.

Total nonsense. Bell got hurt on a pass play when a guy hit him low. Could have happened on his first play of the year. Guys that get hurt from overuse are usually banged up, and it's a case of some body part that is already damaged getting damaged more.

How is it nonsense? If Blount is on the roster, that play never happens the way it did. Butterfly Effect, dude!

Blount is a low-life... period. My only regret in getting rid of him is this... we should have suspended him--not released him. He would be sitting at home right now sniveling about how he was done wrong.

If he walked out on the team he was gone. However their inability to replace him with a viable replacement was their undoing. That was inexcusable.

Blount got too much sand in his vagina and quit the team.

There is no way in justifying keeping him, short of reserving a roster spot for someone who obviously did not want to be a Steeler anymore.

Well this I agree with

Blount was our connection. You never cut ties with your connection.

I would have suspended him and made him sit the bench the rest of the year or just deactivated him.

We have a winner - this is the answer. Suspend him w/o pay. Didn't we have to pay his full year salary after releasing him?

this

then you cut him a day after the SB. Send a message to any future malcontents that disrupting the locker room won't turn out in your favor..

Yeah looking back at it this should have happened but then you have the whole players union bull crap to deal with. I just can't believe there are people out there that would agree with this thread. What the hell the guy walks out on our team and our team takes action.....the cheats pick him up like they do with a lot of problem players and it is our fault???? What the **** ever man I stand by out teams decision and stand by it proud, I could care less if that dope smoke bag of **** goes on and runs for 200 yrds and 4 td's in the super bowl!
My only ***** was it took an injury to Bell for us to even think about a replacement, what was the purpose of draft rb in the 3rd round or hell why talk about Harris???? Nope we will admit we were wrong and go out and sign a guy the week of out playoff game....so he can fumble and not catch passes!!!!! Oh **** I better stop I am getting off track, back to Blount.........SCREW HIM and anyone who thinks our organization was wrong for what they did!

I wonder why the Cheatriots could get the guy to act right but we couldn't though?
