Watching NFL network and they're reporting it's likely a Rams run facility in Inglewood, with the option for Chargers to join them, and a deal for Oakland for a new stadium.

So basically... California will be on the hook for 2 brand new stadiums. I think the only deal that compares with that was the PA deal that brought in new Football and Baseball facilities to both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

How much of the cost will be covered by taxpayers dollars?

What, the Browns aren't moving to L.A.?

How in the heck does LA not just get one team, but two? Ridiculous.

who gives a **** who goes to los angeles? the city won't support them anyway

They can't even keep one team let alone two. Honolulu would be better.

2 Stadiums?? Why wouldn't they share one, like in NY/NJ?

I took it to mean that the Rams and Chargers would share a stadium and the Raiders would have their own.

The Rams are ok to move, the Chargers need to work out something with the Rams so that they can share a facility.. The raiders are not moving anymore, but will get a new stadium. That's how I understand what's going on at this moment.

I feel kinda bad for St. Louis. Will LA support the rams? I mean they did leave LA back in what? 95?

Yes, that's pretty much it. There's still the possibility the Chargers get a new stadium alone and then the Raiders move in with the Rams.
At the very least though, it means 2 new Stadiums and 3 new practice facilities.

In Oakland (to clarify).

It's possible that the Chargers also stay put - with a new stadium in San Diego - leaving the Rams as the lone LA franchise.

Meh I just hope the steelers aren't playing there when the next big earthquake hits... have you ever seen the computer models for the tidal wave that's going to hit that area? and they probably will build it near the coast too... I don't understand why anyone would want to be there long term... I guess San Diego and Oakland are just jockeying for better local draws, but St Louis was already there, and they didn't succeed in that area... I don't understand why they'd want to repeat a past mistake....

Reportedly, the league offered the Raiders $100 million for stadium construction. Barely cover the cost of buying land and clearing the site.

This is like a ribald classic cartoon. LA doesn't have a team because the people in LA never supported their team when they had one and now that 50% of the population doesn't even speak English, they somehow are going to magically flow into a new stadium in droves ?

And speaking of new stadiums. How are they going to pay for these facilities ? The taxpayers damn sure can't, they are still scratchin' for money to pay for that commuter train debacle. The State is broke, many of the cities are broke and they are soon going to have to start charging an exit tax on people moving out of the State. I'm not understanding this at all.

Can one of yinz California transplants clear this up for us ? There has to be an answer I can't see.

The other two teams left at the altar ( Oakland and San Deigo ) just exposed some inconvenient truths to their fan base.

Well with the Rams owner actually owning one of the two proposed sites, neither of the two California teams with bad stadiums want to be a TENANT inside of another team's stadium. That's bad business.

The Carson site was being pushed by Disney CEO Iger who would have had the opportunity to buy into whatever team moved there.

Kroenke won out with Inglewood. But let me tell you, this site will be a clusterfuck. Its in the landing pattern of LAX, the stadium is in direct path of planes landing. I routinely fly right over the Forum where this stadium will be built adjacent. Why are we building stadiums next to an airport? Even worse, why the **** would LA approve a stadium near LAX and directly off the 405? A whole hell of a lot of people got paid off on this. The Carson site is further down from LAX, between the 405 and 91 and other connecting freeways.

I doubt you see the Chargers be joint tenants. They wanted a split stadium. So they get $100M as do the Raiders to try and build a new stadium where they are at or to try and move elsewhere. Rumor locally is that if the Chargers do indeed go to LA the Raiders would swoop in and go right to San Diego.

Bottom line for me as a SoCal guy, we get Steelers home games every 8 years (7 now since we played at STL last year). I'm glad there isn't an AFC team in LA as of yet as we will still get the best game of the week on regular tv. Once they jam us with an AFC team it will be Sunday ticket for all non-national tv Steelers games for us, and we get a TON of CBS games without needing Sunday ticket.

They need to start making the NFL pay taxes and make it a law that they can't require tax money on a stadium to stay. If they want to leave for LA because they feel they can make more money. Fine. But no pitting city against city in who can give me more handouts since I'm a billionaire and need more.

I hope their LA megaplex dream goes up in a huge wafting, pillar of smoke. Listening to Goodell talk about how amazing the whole thing was going to be had me gagging. And then to see a total *** wipe like Jerrah Jones spouting off about it being the greatest deal in the history of forever cemented this to me as being a horrible idea. They screwed St. Louis hard.

Please... the Steelers very own Art II was one of the proponents of the deal too. Seems like they screwed St.Louis, Oakland and San Diego - as well as painted both the Raiders and Chargers organizations into a corner to make the Rams dream a reality.

If I am a ticket holding fan of a moving team like St louis, I file a class action lawsuit and sue for the inflated value of my PSL so my dickbag owner cant make a cent off of them in his new arena. Maybe breach of contract or something too... Especially in St Louis, where the douche who grew up an hour from the city walked away from a new stadium deal there because he wants LA glitter....

The entire press conference was sickening to watch. I never like watching teams relocate, so I hope that the Raiders and Chargers remain in their respective cities.
