Kicking Situation

Yeah we are a mediocre team with a poor defense and a bad QB , points are at a premium, lets let Scobee work it out, no worries. You are too stupid to be crazy.

How old are you bro ? Seriously....are you younger than Bieber ?

Mediocre won the division last year, will have us in the hunt for another this year.....Poor defense was top 6 in pts allowed up til this week.......bad QB had us on top during the final minutes.......bad QB helped amass more points this game vs last week.

Strong negative gloomy demeanor you have

Top 6 defense my ***, we played a team with no weapons and gave up almost 200 yards rushing.

Vick was mediocre to poor last night and again LOST his 13 th loss in his last 16 games.

Go back to blaming Ben for all our red zone problems the last 12 years ,moron, Also looking at your Bieber poster while jacking off is not in your best interests keep your homoerotic desires to yourself

Lol ..your posts are comical.

Suisham was cut from his previous team(s) for missing kicks too.

LeBeau didn't protect anyone last year, did he.

Seed, we don't always agree on things but I'm with you on this one. You bet your *** you march Scobee out there to win the game on that 41 yarder. Its not like he was short on the two previous kicks from further. Hell, he had plenty of distance but just missed them. You bring him out to try and win the game since that's what he's paid to do. If he blows it, then you cut his ***.

Yep. That's his guy. He brought him in and used up a draft pick to do it. He stayed with him after the mess in foxboro. Stayed with him when he clanked an XP the following week. I too say throw him out there and let's see if he gets his manhood back.

Suisham came in pretty solid for us, he was 14-15 his first year with us. His next season, he dipped to a 75% rate and people were calling for his head, the next three years he was 90% or higher. So he hit a rough patch, but he never missed more than one in a game. Scobee has missed twice in two games already, with Suisham his confidence was never in question, his good kicks were pretty centered unlike Scobee who is barely making his good ones.
I'll take 75%, by that stat Shankbee hits at least one of the two he missed and the OT period never happens. Steelers win by 3.

Just Heard a Report Steelers Bringing in Forbath for a Look

Listening to 105.9The X and they said a report was that the team is bringing in Kai Forbath for a look. Just a report. That's all I heard.

Forbath is not much more accurate than Scobee from 40-49yds.

I think the best option for the Steelers is to bring in Connor Barth from the Bucs for a tryout.

I agree. My buddies a Redskins fan and said Forbath is terrible at kickoffs, worse than Suisham.

My heart and mind are open to change. I need to see Scobee's head on a silver plate. Losing that game - twice - last night is unforgivable.

If I'm Tomlin I'm at Heinz Field right now with 5-6 kickers lined-up, ready to go in an open competition...may the best man win.

Absolutely. They have to hold these try outs at the field, right?

For his career he's 23-27 from 40-49 Yard FG's. Math wasn't my strongest subject but that's almost 90%. Right now we are looking at 20-30% with Scobee.

Yeah, for the last 4-5 years, Scobee has been 78%-92% (or so) from 40-49.

Yeah, if you go through Forbath's bio, he seems to be pretty A-Ok to me. Not sure what the drop off was with the Skins, where Danny Smith was his ST coach.

The Washington Redskins signed Forbath on October 9, 2012, replacing Billy Cundiff. Forbath made his NFL and Redskins debut knocking through a 50-yarder as his first career NFL field goal in the home game against the Minnesota Vikings on October 14, 2012. His performance was essential in the Redskins' victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14, where he recorded 48 and 49-yard field goals and then a game-winning 34-yard field goal in overtime. < my God that's painful - and ironic - to read right around now... ;)

On December 23, 2012, Forbath set the NFL record for consecutive field goals to begin a career with 17 in a row, beating Garrett Hartley, who previously held the record at 16. The ball was sent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

In Week 7 of the 2014 season, Forbath scored the game winning field goal in the 19-17 win over the Tennessee Titans. He then was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after scoring the overtime winning field goal against the Dallas Cowboys the following week. He would once again score the game winning field goal again in the 27-24 Week 16 win over the Eagles.

The Redskins offered Forbath a $1,542,000 right of first refusal tender on March 8, 2015, which he signed on April 15, 2015. Forbath was released on September 14, 2015.

Career Kicking Percentages

2012 94.4
2013 81.8
2014 88.9
Total 88.1
