JJSS suspended one game?

You can thank the media's sanctimonious, pretend outrage for the suspension. Oh the horror and the violence must be wiped out of the sport!!! Woe is us! The league is destined to flame out in the not too distant future and this **** is only one of the reasons.
 
As he already pointed out, Tape called it in the game thread and he's 100 percent right. Gruden was going on and on about how JuJu should be suspended (yet said nothing from the vicious crown of the helmet shot to AB's head just a few plays later). Should JuJu get a penalty and a fine, yeah. By no means was anything he did worth a suspension. Again, inconsistency when it comes to Goodell handling punishment.

I brought this up earlier in the season. The league needs to just go to the targeting rule like in college. Plays are reviewable as well before the player is tossed out of the game. This is the NFL screwing things up with the implementation. Goddell really should have waited until they made the new rule. There is no consistency and I doubt there will be for the rest of the season.

And, as the talking heads on ESPN and NFL Network have been discussing today is that JuJu and the Bungle players hit aren't even in the same galaxy as to what Gronk did yet they got the same suspension. If this is one game, Gronk should have gotten at least 3, if not more.
 
Nothing new as far as the media or the NFL and the officials against the Steelers. Happens all the time. It's why Ben was short with the interview. He doesn't want to talk to phoney people. Just smile and give the usual all good just hard football response.

AR2 is just like all the other owners, just looking to protect his *** from lawsuits. The owners ALL want Godell to do what he is doing, otherwise he would be gone
 
Gruden pissing his diapers over Ju Ju while praising the giant prick that is Burfdefect was simply disgusting. I lost whatever sliver of respect I had for him. ******* didn't know most of the names of Steeler players anyway.

Exactly. Dont bring this sanctimonious bullshit out and then schedule the grudge rematch for primetime. It is what it is. Just like Shazier. They talk all this player safety but if a guy doesnt defend every blade of grass by using ****** technique and hurling himself at a guy, hes out of work.
 
And another point. I know in today's game standing over Burfict looks bad and maybe isnt the smartest thing to do but lets put it into context. You are a 200 lb receiver and this 260 lb linebacker has been **** talking everyone all night. You see him and you ball up and throw yourself into him. This all happens in less then a second and you are half concussed yourself. You're all geeked up. You arent gonna say sorry and help him up. Ive stood over a guy after a big hit. Just about anyone who has played defense and rocked someone has.
 
Based on the NFL's statement about JuJu and cracking down on those types of hits, they need to issue a statement this week that the new rule will be suspensions and not fines. And, they need to start suspending players this weekend. This happens in almost every single game. If there aren't at least 10 suspensions and probably many more this weekend, the NFL will have royally ****** this up as well.

Almost makes you think....should JuJu go Zeke Elliott and get the NFLPA involved. Then again, remember the only team who did not vote for the current CBA. The folks in NYC have a hand in this no doubt.
