Jalen Ramsey

No thanks, it's one thing to draft players with some selfish tendencies it's another to bring in an outsider with them. Besides, I think he's overrated. AB was open plenty today, he just didn't always get the ball when he was.

We'll have extra cap room next year from Bell not playing this year.
Thank you, Leveon.

I'd trade our 1st and 3rd for him as long as he will play for 4 years and 18 million a year. Ramsey is perhaps the best corner in the NFL, entering his prime years. With him, we can afford to play tighter man or bump and run, giving us a real x factor and making the Steelers a tough match up for ANY QB.

The Bears gave up first-round picks in 2019 and 2020, a third-round pick in 2020 and a sixth-round pick in 2019 to acquire Mack

The Bears made Mack the highest-paid defender in NFL history with a six-year, $141 million extension that guarantees him $90 million and pays an annual average of $23.5 million from 2019-24.

^^^ Ramsey is not worth this. Our first and
third in 2019 with a contract of 4 years for 85 million, I might do that. Then it would be super bowl or bust

So, what about his play today made you decide he should get a $13M pay cut in this fictitious scenario? That's a lot of money to lose in less than 12 hours.

did Ramsey think he was playing on the frozen tundra today?

The price will be too high considering he's not a free agent. You're going to sign a UFA and not make a trade and give up assets

An impact defender in his prime is often worth it. Yes the Bears gave up a lot for Mack, but for them it looks to be worth it.

The Bears were 5-11 in 2017.

The Bears are now 7-3 ( 4 wins in a row ) so far in 2018.

Not to belittle the impact Mack has had on the field, but two of those wins came with him injured on the sideline. The Bears players have stated that a big part of what Mack brought to them was leadership/identity. I'm sorry, but I don't think I'd want Jalen Ramsey bringing his particular type of leadership/identity to the Steelers. We've seen where trash talking, etc. gets this team; it ain't where we want it going.

Ramsey, along with Sherman and other "shut-down" corners, grab, clutch, hold, chip and straight out hug WRs during their patterns without flags. Why do NFL refs allow certain players and teams to do this illegal crap all game long, but the Steelers get flagged for an illegal contact on a play where the WR initiated contact? Confused.

I guess I'm looking at Ramsey's int in the endzone and I can't figure out how that's not interference as he literally climbs up Brown's back to get the ball.

I mean, I know he has a right to make a play on the ball, but through Brown?

If all we had to do was pay him, fine. But, giving up multiple No. 1 picks along with that makes this a non-starter. I wouldn't even entertain trading for him.

The thing is he easily could be a grass is greener type... playing here he won’t get the benefit of the doubt on all his handplay and across from joe haden people will probably target him more, making him look worse...

Also im certain that unless that headwrap was covering up some headpiece so laundry could tell him our plays, a guy who cannot take 75 degree weather won’t want to play outside in a northern climate... lol

I agree he's probably not worth the price and he seems like a dbag. But he's far from overrated. His 2 picks were things of beauty. Would love to have our corners attack the ball like that.

AB had zero catches the first half. His long td was a result of zone coverage and the safety biting so it had nothing to do with Ramsey. The other long completion he gave up, Ben basically made a perfect throw and Juju a hell of a catch but Ramsey was right with Juju the whole way. He's easily the best cover corner in the league right now.

Agree. The ball to AB over the middle was a bit underthrown, but it looked like Ramsey baited him into throwing and jumped the route. He may be an ahole but he backs it up most Sunday's and I'd welcome him in B & G for the right deal.
