Jalen Ramsey

Jaguars look like their ready to shop him... see ESPN.com.

I'll be the first to say, give him Bell's money. Defense set for the next 4 years!!!

Would they ship him off? Not so sure.

But yeah he would definitely upgrade our secondary.

I mentioned him in a previous forum and got chuckled at. He would fit perfectly (and would be a better deal than Patrick Peterson) with Butlers scheme. They are going to have plenty of roll over cap room. That is the move I try and make. He’s worth a first round pick.

He would laugh at Bell money. he's going to want upward's of 100 million. with about 50-60 million guaranteed. never going to happen here

A shut down corner in his prime would transform our defense. With our pass rush, wow the defense would be good.

We could afford to play man, or bump and run more often.

Pass defense remains our biggest weakness.

What are the Jaguars asking for?

I think it would have to be comparable to what the Raiders got for Mack.

He probably wants the same type of money Mack got from the Bears.

The Jaguars probably do not want to pay him that and anticipate him holding out next year.

The Steelers need to take a hard look. At this point they’re drafting in mid to late 20’s in the first round and possibly 31 or 32. At that point (unless you’re trading up in the first round) you’re getting what’s left over. Take a sure thing if you’re trying to win now with Ben. Sensebaugh has been adequate but Ramsey would be lights out. Haden, Ramsey and Hilton we corners with Davis playing a solid game and Edmunds developing well, could be the best secondary we’ve seen since the 70’s

The Bears gave up first-round picks in 2019 and 2020, a third-round pick in 2020 and a sixth-round pick in 2019 to acquire Mack

The Bears made Mack the highest-paid defender in NFL history with a six-year, $141 million extension that guarantees him $90 million and pays an annual average of $23.5 million from 2019-24.

^^^ Ramsey is not worth this. Our first and
third in 2019 with a contract of 4 years for 85 million, I might do that. Then it would be super bowl or bust

Do whatever it takes to get Ramsey?

Ramsey will be available... should the Steelers go all in to get Ramsey in the off-season?

I'd assume if they want to trade him they'd demand a return similar to what Oakland got for Mack. I'm not prepared to give up that much.

There are many others who are decent for a better price

Every replay they showed, he had a hold of AB’s jersey.

A lot of them got away with a lot holds today. I think even Romo alluded to Ramsey "with his long arms" doing quite a bit of holding.

Put his locker next to Ben's

I rarely hear Ben call out other guys in any interview but when I heard him say #20 & #50 were doing a lot of trash talking, I knew it lit a fire. Seemed like there was jawing after almost every single play.
