Shades usually manages to get out-coached by Harbage though.
But only when we don't have Ben OR Ben plays like ****......hmmmm

The first game we ran ran, then 3rd and long pass, that's way to predictable. How'd we do once we sped the offense up and went no huddle, the offense Ben wanted to go to in the 3rd qtr. Coates dropped at TD that would've put us within 7 with 6 mins left, there were several drops in that game, but yeah Bad Ben!

Who exactly needs to shut up if they don't put up?
I don't like Dwill and Bell in the backfield together, you're not going to successfully run out of that formation, as neither of those are going to lead block, nor do you want them too. If you put them both back there and split Bell out, then they'll match a db up with him. Your best bet of getting Bell on a LB is have him run routes from the backfield, look for blitz pick up, then leak out as a pass catcher.
Yep and no other qb's have almost picks either uh?

I assume so, but if you want to bring up our drops, need to include their drops of our passes, too.
Everyone wants to say Hairball outcoaches Tomlin...but Ben has sub 70 ratings in two games we lost. Must. Find. Some. Other. Reason. People seem to shy away from criticizing Ben because.....Ben is fantastic, but when he has a bad game, it is hard for the rest of the team to overcome. Sometimes when Ben is having a bad game, he starts trying to do more and sometimes it works and sometimes, it doesn't. Dropped passes can happen because the passes aren't as crisp as they should be, or are juuuuust off target.
Is our Defense better now than when we first played them? Seems probable. Will Ben have as bad a game, at home, as he did in Baltimore? Seems unlikely. If he does, the D may be playing enough better to still squeeze by.
Two things are certain from this game: If the Ravens win, it is Tomlin's fault, even if Ben throws 4 pick 6's and if the Steelers win, the players were able to overcome Tomlin's idiocy or because of something Munchak did, or because their WR's dropped a couple of passes, etc.
There will be no number 89...we don't have a number two receiver worth a ****....
Put Nix and two TE's in there and run Bell and Deanglo 40 times! When you dont have a 2 TE or fullback look, put Hubbard in as the extra lineman..
If you want to get the Yinzers loud and vocal.....
Pound it till they cry UNCLE!!!
Their secondary is a disaster, ATTACK THEIR WEAKNESS! Forget the chest-bumping smashmouth ****!
If you try and out muscle them you are playing their game. A sure recipe for disaster is a matching FG small ball game.
Spread them out, no huddle up tempo from the start - get a 3 TD lead and coast.
I agree 100%. If you want to make this a double chin strap game and slow the tempo, it really plays into their hands. Tempo, tempo, tempo. Muddle huddle, no huddle. Use personnel groupings to force the match ups. Even if we don't have the best receivers after AB, spread them so they can't put two and three guys on Bell. Run him out of gun behind that offensive line. Leak him out of the backfield for easy check down yardage. For God's sake The eagles nearly beat them in Baltimore last week. Look what they and the Pats did and replicate that. Don't keep doing the same **** you have been doing. It hasn't worked at all.
I totally agree
Coming out slamming the ball up the gut for the first half plays right into their strength. Don't do it! Don't get behind, mix it up, keep them off balance and score early and often.
Thing is this. I would say that Ben had a horrible game against the Bills. Worst of the season. And on paper in my opinion the Ravens aren't that much better than the Bills. So it is kind of incumbent upon the coaching staff to help put Ben in the best possible situations and if he doesn't have a great game to work around that a bit. I don't think anyone who has watched these last several matchups against the Ravens, particularly the debacle that was last year against a Flacco less Ravens could possibly say this team has not been badly out coached.
