I hate to say it but I've never had cornbread with my chili. I do like cornbread though but usually with gumbo.
do you add beans to your gumbo also?

I don't make cornbread to go with chili either, now soups or gumbo sure...but not chili

Here in Cinci we make spaghetti to go under the chili, that's a two way, add cheese a three way, beans or onions a 4 way add them both it's a 5 way. We have some real swingin chili around here. Also you use either cinnamon or unsweetened cocoa powder in it depending on which side you subscribe too, Gold Star or Skyline.1637541422011.jpeg

Sounds good. I could use a good *** kicking. Been a long time. I actually can't tell you when that actually happened.

Do you like to use live bait or lures?

And do you prefer concrete blocks or cinder blocks? ;)

You know I'm a kidding with you. Tex.

cinder blocks are easier to carry

lures are too much work...cast our reel in cast out reel in...**** that cast out, grab a beer and see what the live bait can draw in....

I thought so too but it is damn tasty. Not exactly real chili but good nonetheless. I am a bean guy, sorry Coolie. I make a batch split half with half without. The wife can't eat the beans or the house will blow up.
if I had any respect for you at all you would have lost it...good thing I didn't

It's because I make my chili without beans.
Best way IMO

Chuck roast, spices, onions/garlic/fresh jalapanos, maybe a little celery for texture.
Shredded cheese on top with sour cream ( homemade Greek-style yogurt works too) and green onions.
Cornbread is optional but if you make it, don't put sugar or AP flour in it... that's called 'cake' :)
