Is the NFL fixed ? - After watching that Bills debacle

Anything to justify the refs.

I don’t want to say it’s rigged between the players, but the officiating itself can change games pretty drastically
Rules like this give WAY too much room to "amend" the outcomes of games. We have all seen such passes be catches, and/or touchdowns.

It was a bad call and highlights the massive flaw in replay assist. At least give the impression to go through the process because every other time the receiver has possession and is down by contact, they keep possession. Is it fixed? What incentive does the NFL have to keep Josh Allen from advancing to the AFC Championship game?
I think they need the transparency of the ACC review where you listen to the explanation yourself. Watched a few of those. Really appreciated

Yeah, that’s a tough call on that play.
Half the people love it half the people hate it.
Not much you could do about something that happens simultaneously in a split second.
I believe the biggest thing the NFL can do to eliminate any perceived favoritism or fixing of outcomes of games is to reduce the passing interference penalty to 15 yards. Basically put the college football pass interference, penalty in place in the NFL
That will stop a lot of games of being decided on some fluke penalty because a quarterback just throws the ball 50 yards down field. It doesn’t take much skill or talent to do that, and for that to decide outcomes of football games is criminal.
No pun intended

The problem with the 15-yard penalty is DBs that get burnt in the NFL are smart enough to tackle the receiver to prevent the big play.

I would have to believe they’re just as smart in college to do the same thing. And it happens occasionally, not as much as you think though.

My biggest issue are the pass interference calls and the no contact ****. Every single game you see defensive back grabbing one arm ,pulling on the jersey or getting a hand right on the hip holding them when the wr goes to jump.

You ever try to jump when someone pulls right on your hip? It messes you up. It's a 100% interference.

If you're going to have a ******* rule, call it ALL of the time and not just when you feel like it or remove the rule.

It should be 5 yards and then you keep your hands to yourself until the ball arrives. You either knock it down ,intercept it or knock it out right at the moment the WR touches it.

They like rules they can influence outcomes. The only explanation that makes sense.

The tried hyper-enforcing illegal contact a few years ago and it was a disaster, there's always going to be some hand fighting during a route. I don't want a flag on every single passing play.

It's like the hockey interference rule, you have to impede their progress toward the puck to get it called.

Consistency is the problem. They let DBs play all game until that last drive. Happened with Bengals/Chiefs years ago, too, and Chiefs/Eagles.

It's not hand fighting when you're pulling on a guy's arm or hooking his hip before or during his jump.
