Is Mike Tomlin happy Antonio Brown and Bell are gone?

Because it's the off season...

Tomlin benefited much from the AB saga at the end of the season. It distracted from the late season collapse and paradoxically made him somewhat of a sympathetic figure with 90% of the fan base's rage focused on the scapegoat.

AB caught 15 TDs last year and was much better at his job the past 6 seasons than Tomlin was at his.

Not buying the whole "Tomlin was the only thing holding this team together" nonsense being floated in some circles.

He created and aided and abetted the culture: From Young Money all the way down to Grimble on the goal line and Nix mic dropping after a failed fake punt with the season on the line.

Personally, I predict AB has a meltdown on the sideline or social media or both by Week 6. Bell will be on IR or at least miss several games by Week 8.

I saw picture from that douchebags instagram, of him on a mini bike and his caption for the picture was, "I'm a photographers dream" Such a self-centered asshat.

Bell didn't even play last season. Of course we don't know what the offense will look like without Brown, but Ben can spread that ball around and will that offense to move.

I don't know about a painful season.

I think the offense may not be as explosive, but I think it can be more efficient without AB crying every time the ball doesn't come his way and without the offense trying to find ways to get AB the ball

With A clown, it sort of made that offense more one dimensional and now that he is gone will actually make it more MULTI-dimensional. AWESOME it is.

Dated, but maybe the World's Music Minister can provide some measure of comfort for Shades and the team moving forward with or without you:

Did I disappoint you
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without

Well it's...
Too late
Tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One...

Tomlin will not be happy when the loss of Bell and Brown show us his real worth. He had the best trio in the league and lost to the worst teams in the league.
Gonna be a painful season. painful

You're obviously new here; but your comments seem very old...guess we'll have to see if you're hiding behind a new persona...

If you go back the last several seasons, the top 2 WRs in the league have been AB and Julio Jones, two of the best to play the game and both on decent teams. Zero championships among them. Having those guys like that isn't everything.

A million for a watch? Yeah, he'll be broke in no time.

Terry Bradshaw On Antonio Brown: ‘I Cannot Stand Divas’

I cannot stand divas. Can’t stand ‘em. I don’t want to play with ‘em. I don’t want anything to do with ‘em. This game is too hard without my having to babysit and force plays to a guy just to keep him happy. If he cares about the football team, he’ll shut up. He will keep his mouth shut and play the game. That’s my thinking. I’m 70. I’m not 30 or 31. I’m 70. And that’s the kind of player I want to play with. I don’t want to play with a diva.

Living a Billionaire life on a millionaire salary........... DANG right he will be broke. What do you think caused all his CHIT for wanting out of here........ MONEY.! His leaving got him all that Capital at once to relive him of his financial crisis he was in. Broke........ Hell I think he will be broke again before his current contract expires...... Dude is playing a little short up top,.......

Tomlin was quick to point out the distractions are gone but failed to take ownership on the players he could not control.

We are going to miss AB. Bell was vastly over rated, watch and see this season.

There does come a point of running out of talent. You can't take the best WR in football off a team and expect the same results. However, Ben is the key factor not the WRs. As long as Ben is healthy the offense will score points. If the don't win this year it won't be because of the offense IMHO.

I can't stand talking about either of these two douchebags but the New York media is already ripping Bell for not being committed and he went off on a ebonics Instagram post the other day. Can't post links for some reason ( or any of the other perks for that matter), even though I've been contributing since January, but it's out there if you want to look for it. He'll be lucky to make it one year in New York.

Glad he god rid of those locker room cancers!

The Rooneys chose saving money over winning, They screwed the team and the entire Steelernation fanbase.
looks like they will end up paying either way.
I saw this coming even before Brown left.

I can't believe everyone is so surprised by last night? What did you honestly expect??

I hope the Rooneys get to watch AB hoist the Lombardi for new England, They deserve it for sabotaging this team, and keeping Tomlin around.

Tomlin's choir boys have a long way to go to get to average. oh right ....."Addition by subtraction!"

Yeah, i never want to hear that again

Regardless, why would you want guys who truly don't want to be here?

How could they help the team? Did Brown help the team last year in week 17? That had nothing to do with Tomless. Bell? Did he help the team as he held out for an entire year?

They aren't the problem. Tomless' inability to come up with a real honest to god plan is the problem.

Honestly,................ I'd expect you to realize there are 31 other teams you could root for and you would have made your selection by now.

At least we have a happy locker room. Everyone now loves each other and can hold hands while singing happy little songs. Unfortunately, I guess you still need some kind of talent on the team. One good WR and QB isn’t going to cut it.

Nice spin. He didn't get rid of those 'locker room cancers'! They both wanted out. LB was offered a generous contract & opted not to accept it & *** Clown, well, since his 'trade me' tweet in week 2 of last year, I think the organization knew that was becoming a train wreck.

Not to mention he demanded a trade right after we made him the highest paid wide receiver in the league, but yep it's totally on the Steelers that those two jackasses are gone. Idgaf, I'd honestly rather lose than have those two on the team, in fact it's player personalities like them that has caused me to massively lose in interest in the NFL the last few years
