I've been wearing my Steeler football goggles this year up until 3 weeks ago. I was thinking no,this year is different and...
Stick a fork in me...
LOL. Perfect analogies.

Appreciate the fair analysis, Boss. Merry Christmas.what the **** Russ
2 TOs in the first 4 minutes for the Chiefs - lets see how that works out for them
Chiefs made that look easy - but miss the extra point
and another quick drive - nice hit on the punt returner but the loose balls keep bouncing the other teams way
DJ gets burnt - looking like a long ******* day
and a hold takes six off the board.....followed by a ******* pick in the end zone
where is that bottle of Brimstone...
hey a punt by the chiefs
take the pitch play out of the play book
nice drive - good mix of run and pass...Russ runs it in for 6
and a miracle - TJ got a holding call
Steelers have the talent to take this game...they gotta stop the turnovers and get some hits on Mahommes
Warren has been a lot better in the 1st half than Najee
13-7 at the half looked like it was going to be way worse...Steelers offense left some points on the field - have to be more consistent in the 2nd half
OL has got to get better....any block at all on that screen and it might have scored
**** this defense **** this offense **** **** ****
kelce wide ******* open all ******* day
maybe I will get to see the steelers in houston
**** **** **** ****
no ******* heart at all in the second half
OL destroyed, defense raped repeatedly
damn I ran out of my Brimstone...Merry ******* Christmas
why the hell keep najee and wilson on the field....******* idiotic
He lost one TD and one long pass due to holding penalties on the OL.For all the hype, Pickens wasn't a real factor. He did have one nice catch down the sidelines. What did he end up with, two catches?
As I recall my pre-season pick was 10-7 and a first round playoff loss, i.e. the usual.
Went about as expected.
That DC should have never been hired in the first place.
Tomlin IS the DC. The DC's in-name-only are just there to be scapegoats.Tomlin needs to go. But the DC needs to be packing his bags 1st or at least with.
Not giving up on the season, might win a few playoff games.
In the Fire Mike Tomlin Group on FB we're calling a winning season followed by a first-round playoff loss the "Tomlinship".10-7 and a 1st round blowout should be copyrighted as a "Tomlin."
Admittedly Ron,I was a true pessimist. Or realist. I guess it depends on peoples interpretation. I had them at 8-9 on here. Without a playoff game. I did think they were going to lose the last 4. And their first game against Atlanta. As I recall my pre-season pick was 10-7 and a first round playoff loss, i.e. the usual.
"They could have rolled Len Dawson out of the casket and he would have thrown for two touchdowns!" I think that pretty much sums it up.........that and " A comfortability with being mediocre."
Pickens will move on to greener pastures and likely turn into an easy perennial top 3 WR in a system with a QB and HCThis team is worse than I thought. I no longer have the confidence they can right the ship. I don’t think the coaching staff is capable of changing things up. Same penalties. Same horrible play calls. Same lack of adjustments.
If I was Pickens I’d be looking for a way out and find a team that can win.
Tomlin is lost. Out-coached again.
This team spent a lot of money on defense and they are just bad!
I don’t think they beat Cincy and I’m going to put money on whoever they play in the playoffs. I just don’t have any confidence this team can with with Tomlin in charge.
I believe in the coming weeks we will start to hear players talking truths
He certainly could escape the pocket better, turn some of the sacks into positive yards. Let's not forget, he had quite a few big pass plays to Pickens called back because of penalties. At this point, i think Fields is the better option too. But remember, we give up some production with him, He was 4-2, but it was against the same caliber teams that Russ went 6-2 with. Would Fields have fared any better in these last few weeks?
When they lined up with 2 down lineman on 4 and 1, after a timeout, you pretty much knew what kind of a defensive performance it was going to be.Defense started out bad, seemed to settle in then got torched again
The one guy you know you have to cover they did not in the second half.
You left out starting running back and a quarterback on the list of holes to fill. DL - I don't agree depth is required, there's plenty of depth there. DL needs a starter given Heyward is going to be 36 next year. More depth is also required in the secondary. It's definitely tough. As bad as the past month has been I still feel we're a lot closer than we've been in several seasons. There's holes to fill but much fewer than previous seasons. Right now I think our OL is killing us. A lot of rookies are wearing down and we have some key injuries on the right side. Definitely need more DL depth too as well as help in the secondary. And a WR2!
The batted down passes are result because he cannot see over the line. What can you say. While many here have disagreed…..we are far behind the better teams. While Russ has had some good games he hasn’t done well against good defenses. I mean it’s not just him,but he’s the QB. I’ve seen his whole career because they’ve always played Seattle games in my area. When they signed him I said the Steeler Nation Faithful will be frustrated by the amount of sacks he takes. And the batted down passes. Especially during critical times. Nothing has changed.
Many said look at all the TD’s he threw last season. That’s why we’ve brought him in. Our RedZone offense is pitiful. He has done absolutely nothing to improve it. We are ranked 31st. All frigging season long.
If they signed him I him to a big time 3 year type contract, I just don’t know what to say.
The search for our QB continues.
Is it because he can't see, or because on short passes he can't get enough trajectory to get the ball over the line whilst keeping the ball low enough to be in the receiver's catch radius. That might be why the moonball is such a big part of his repertoire - he needs to arc the ball more than a taller quarterback to get it over the defensive line, which makes short, flat passes more difficult unless he has an open pocket. The batted down passes are result because he cannot see over the line.
I didn't even expect wins. I thought they would get one. I expected them to be competitive especially today. The coach continues to **** it up.Simple fact is the Chiefs (and Eagles) have better talent and better coaching.
It’s no more complicated than that.
