Initial Thoughts on bengal Game

Tomlin’s presser…”they just made a few more plays then us”, no dumb ***, the bent your defense over and dry ****** you on National TV. Just admit you don’t have a ******* clue how to design or call a ******* defense. You sucked at Minnesota, and after LeBeau you have **** all over this defense for years.

For the media people who question Rodgers are strength for deep balls

I honestly didn't like Rodgers before we signed him. Extremely talented but I wasn't sure he was dedicated enough anymore and willing to put in the work. He proved me wrong. We'd be in the wilderness with almost any other QB running that crap show of an offense. And you could just see the look of disgust on his face as Cinci marched us down the field for the game winning drive . I hope he loses it on this team for that effort.

Defense was ******* ATTROCIOUS! Watt, Heyward and all the rest of them should be ashamed of themselves!

Bungles ran Post Corner routes starting in the 2nd Quarter and the Steelers had no adjustments and no answers for it....even on the game winning drive.

This team needs a solid #2 WR and they better trade for one because Calvin Austin isn't a #2

Is it Teryl Austin or Mike Tomlin? Run Defense is terrible!

Ok, so we all knew the Bengals line was dogcrap, so they were gonna max protect and throw quick.... but we were so scared of those wrs going deep we gave them the quick inside **** all game long... jump some routes... zone blitz em and drop someone into coverage in a passing lane...

Good gosh we play scaredy cat football too often

Coaches don’t get a pass on the trend that they show.
Regrettably, they do in Pittsburgh.
That is the very definition of coaching. Figuring out how to make adjustments when your players are struggling.
QBR
This game was a typical Tomlin special. Favored to win against what had been a bad team the last four games with zero running game and QB play. The Steelers helped Fields look like an all pro the first game and did the same tonight with Flacco and their running game.

Seriously, how many times does Chase have to catch the ball, or your DL get zero pressure, without making a change that actually helps? If not for Rodgers this would have been a Tomlin 30-10 beat down special against a bad team. Tomlin has historically been unable, unprepared, or unwilling to change his defensive game plan during games like tonight. The team simply could not stop Flacco and Chase/Higgins.

What an embarrassment on defense against a mostly washed up guy at QB that had been benched two weeks ago by the Browns.
You expected something different?
Tomlin's MO forever has been no Plan B when Plan A isn't working.
Right. It's not his fault. It's execution.

I feel like a rejected girlfriend, I started to believe again. Fool that I am.

Anyone worried about the offense after this game is drunk or high. The defense lost this game, period.
No worries about the offense in tonight's game. But I have to say Cinci is one terrible tackling team.

Honestly they couldnt do worse...

I watched one play where Flacco threw to a wide-open Chase in the middle of the field, but in the process ignored #80 WIDE open further downfield also in the middle of the field and the TE wiiiiiiide open further to the left.

Seriously, Flacco had three guys wide open on one play. No worries since the Steelers D was aggressively blanketing the painted 40-yard line marking on the field and that ***** ain't gonna catch a pass!

Well at least the Penguins won.

Did anyone catch dumbass Broderick Jones tackles Rodgers from behind on his bad leg?

This team is filled with a bunch of absolute dumbasses that Tomlin drafted

Another Mikey Sunglasses Thursday night game where he let the team look past the opponent and got teabagged for it.

This is why Cleveland sent Flacco to Cincy. They are a loser organization who can chalk up this spite move as their best win in years.

Paying a player $40 million and he's invisible unless you scheme him favorable matchups 🤣🤣🤣
Um, yeah. Top-shelf defensive players get massive contracts, welcome to 2025 reality. Watt's salary isnt a get-out-of-jail card for the coaches to be absolved of their duty to deploy him in a way that gives him and the overall defense the best chances for success. And hey, who knows, maybe a year or two from now we're all lamenting that contract he got, and saying how they'd have been better off letting some other team pay him and that the Steelers shouldve focused on getting younger at the position?

And to think, if Boswell did not nail that 60+ yard FG to beat the Jets, the Steelers would have already lost two games in which their offense scored 30+ points.

All this money dedicated to the defense definitely seems like a waste at the moment.

We were out-coached, bar none.

Salute the nation
One word to describe......predictable. The game has so passed by Tomlin its hilarious. If the other team sets up perfect for what he wants to do......Great. If not.....done. I was pretty happy that they bounced off the canvace. I thought they were cooked. You keep trotting out the same ****. Lock JPJ on Chase. You will take some penalties sure. But he will dog him in the first 5. Ramsey on Higgins. Rest on rest. Instead they sat in the cuck chair and took it. Its all going to end the same way it always has. And you really couldn't get more out of Rogers. But its lip stick on the Tomlin pig. This team cannot beat a real good team. Anyone who has the right players and is good at the film will dice it.

Then in the presser he acts like they didn't give the perfect blue print for teams in the next three where they will be lucky to win one.

Or a week or two we're lamenting the contract Watt got. He was invisible at the end of last season. He hasn't dominated a game yet this year. Time to realize Watt isn't the dominant player he has been in the past. Even better would have been better to recognize it before we handed him the extension. You pay a player for future performance. They've already been paid for what they've done in the past.
