Tomlin said the team will give reserve defensive backs Brandon Boykin and Doran Grant extended looks in practice to help a secondary that allowed five touchdown passes to Seattle's Russell Wilson.

No ****... Is it "unleash hell" time? Did you read those articles about the ****-flinging monkey?

I want to be very clear here. The above statement was meant to be said TO Tomlin not ABOUT Tomlin. No way do I ever get that angry. I aint like THAT at all.

The men who are below the line in their above-the-neck preparation and below-the-neck physicality will be held accountable for their popcorn in the game of football and some people may lose their jobs, obviously, except me, obviously, and it's time for the next man up if the first man is below the line in game-day situational football, if you will.

Hope that cheers you up. :bohk7ars:

And, after Ben said he'd been told by trainers that he'd passed the concussion tests and was cleared to practice, Tomlin said on Tuesday "Nu uh... He had a concussion and we're following the protocol and we'll do what the Doctors tell us" causing irritation with Roethlisberger, implying that Roeth didn't know what he was talking about.

then this...

QB Ben Roethlisberger was a full participant in practice Wednesday after being removed from the NFL's concussion protocol. He was struck in the head late in last week's 39-30 loss at the Seattle Seahawks and eventually left the game.

sigh... Mike, you're killing me. Killing me. Admittedly, Roethlisberger shouldn't be talking about his injury status on his radio show, but it's best for both of them to simply show solidarity.

Kind of a switch from the Cowher days when Ben would say he was hurt and Cowher would say he wasn't.

How about golden

If the Steelers don't make the playoffs this year, I think there will be a large ground swell to oust professor vocabulary and his wall of bullshit.

YOU want to bludgeon him? Go to the back of the line...

Evidently we need common sense bludgeon laws.

I realize that I don't have any actual $$$$$ invested in this team / franchise. I do however have a ton of time / loyalty / etc. ect., VESTED and was just wondering, WHY the **** is Boykin getting his "extra look"........... before me?????

Salute the nation

So Tomlin's Nu UH talk was not I boss you took yourself out and I'll show you attitude. Tomlin should be concerned more of as all said time to whip *** and take names. does this team have that attitude?? Can Tomlin get that attitude from HIS team.

The most scathing indictment of Tomlin is the play of Jacoby Jones. After they rightly dropped Dri Archer cause he could only do one job and not that well, they brought in Jones. If I was the coach I would be like "Ok, Jacoby we are going to kick 10 kickoffs to you. I want to see exactly what you'd do in a game". Well he bobbled three of them, and as someone aptly said he looks like he is running in a pool on the other 7. NEXT.

I know some of you guys have coached or do coach. Try to think about when you were coaching.

I remember one year one of my hardest decisions I had to make was I had a great kid, hard worker at QB. One of those kids that would go through a wall. Not overly talented, but would go through a wall. It took me half the season to replace the kid with the better player. By all indications Blake is that kind of player. I see why Tomlin likes him. It's hard.

Maybe the above is part of the reason I am not coaching anymore.

Yes Diver coaching gave me a totally different perspective. I've coached players where you coached them all week on exactly what would happen and they go out play like we didn't practice the same situation all week..

Bludgeon free zones. And no high capacity bludgeoning objects. You just have to run them over with your car or something if you want to go big...:)

That's really not on Tomlin.

Colbert and the pro scouting department have depth charts on every position (including special teams) of available free agents in case the need arrises.

Now did Colbert DEFINITELY have Jacoby Jones #1 on their available kickoff returners or was he #3 or #4 and Tomlin pulled rank and said he wanted him? Who knows.

You could say the same thing about Vick in my opinion. Tomlin's running the show and I don't think he's sticking to the Colbert depth chart. Tomlin loves ex-Ravens now too.

Just another reason to stay away from this clusterfuck. I root against the Steelers this year because of Vick and I've enjoyed it. They are a train wreck and karma is a *****.
