I swear I want to bludgeon him!

Boykin will go through all the proper preparations if you will to give him a look for game day obviously.
The necessary extra reps will be an indication if Boykin will be ready come game time. This move will unleash hell and put the defense neck above the line

No ****... Is it "unleash hell" time? Did you read those articles about the ****-flinging monkey?

I want to be very clear here. The above statement was meant to be said TO Tomlin not ABOUT Tomlin. No way do I ever get that angry. I aint like THAT at all.

He's having Renegade played once a quarter and then take on Del Rio in a cliche match.

That's really not on Tomlin.

Colbert and the pro scouting department have depth charts on every position (including special teams) of available free agents in case the need arrises.

Now did Colbert DEFINITELY have Jacoby Jones #1 on their available kickoff returners or was he #3 or #4 and Tomlin pulled rank and said he wanted him? Who knows.

You could say the same thing about Vick in my opinion. Tomlin's running the show and I don't think he's sticking to the Colbert depth chart. Tomlin loves ex-Ravens now too.

Just another reason to stay away from this clusterfuck. I root against the Steelers this year because of Vick and I've enjoyed it. They are a train wreck and karma is a *****.

Good for you, root against the STEELERS all you want, that is your right. But **** off acting like you give a ****. TWO sided coin with same head does not make a fair coin flip.

Salute the nation

Yea, what a *****. A bleeding, self-righteous *****.

Everyday dogs suffer all over this country. I've tried to do my part by rescuing a few over the years and donating to rescues. Not watching the Steelers because they signed Vick and rooting against them doesn't do a damn thing. It's like ******* hastags.

Agreed.. That is definitely one of the sadder statements I've seen on the internet. Self righteousness to biblical proprtions

Tomlin is an overrated coach who won a super bowl with Bill Cowher's players. Once those players aged or retired, we see what we have.

A coach who loses too many games to inferior teams, .500 or below.

A coach who is rather poor at clock management and time outs.

A coach who often goes for it when he should have kicked it and kicks it when he should have gone for it...a bad gambler...

A coach who says some rather poor things to the media, and has his players getting into too much trouble off the field. This may not entirely be his fault, but I feel the head coach is a factor as some head coaches have far less police blotter issues and NFL suspensions.

And most importantly a coach who has not won a playoff game since January 23, 2010! We are approaching 2016.

With our talent and a franchise QB still in his prime, I find this unacceptable. I wish the Steelers would have waited until the end of the season to decide whether or not to extend Tomlin.

The Steelers are stuck with this guy like it or not. The Rooney's are loyal to their guy. Win or lose I'm proud to be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Yes it sucks not being up to par with the winning tradition that Steelers fans and even the team itself is used to. But the team does generally put forth a respectable bunch of men. I've stated a few times that the Steelers never really have any locker room drama, and if so the situation gets handled quickly

Things at work have slowed down after this mornings number's, so let me counter (bear with me):

Cowher's players argument- Who care's if Cowher or Donahue or Rooney (who selected Big Ben) select a player. Players aren't self coached or operate on auto pilot. If this were the case, the 2005 powerhouse team would have finished much better than 8-8 in 2006. Look at the 49er's before Harbaugh- all the high pick talent in the world and all they needed was a coach to spark the flame.

Losses to inferior teams: He has a record >0.700% with teams with a losing record. The only inferior team we lost to this year was the result of terrible kicker and having to start our 3rd string QB

Timeouts/Time Management: I believe every fanbase has beef with their coach regarding these. Its like low hanging fruit if you dont like your coach. Funny thing is, half the time these decisions are way too 'situational' that we may not have all the information to intelligently argue what to do.

A bad gambler: I believe we have the highest rate of 2pt attempts and conversions in the NFL. Lets also not forget that gamble in SD- How'd that work out?

Playoff win: Cant argue this. But its a false equivalence for what constitutes a good coach. Sexy Rexy, Andy Reid, and John Fox have tons of playoff wins with nothing to show for it. The proper question is: Are the Steeler's improving, are the players responding to the coach, and can they compete for the SB? After a brief roster overhaul for two years (8-8 aint a bad down year), I would say that most would agree we have improved significantly .

The talent: No credit for the talent that you even mention? You want to credit Cowher for Cowher's players, but wont do the same for:
An All Pro WR on one side, and a stud on the other
An all Pro RB, and a stud backup
An OLine with Pro Bowl talent

You dont think this talent is the reason we have seen Ben's level play elevate in the past several years?

Yinzer, the talent you say...

You don't mention the QB at all however you suggest we have:

An all pro WR on one side. (Who was abysmal when the aforementioned QB was out btw...)
and a stud on the other side. (Technically Bryant's suspension have left 1/4 of his season up in smoke so to speak so his numbers just won't be that awesome at the end of the year regardless, so he's not THAT much of a stud numerically. He could have been, I suppose if he could have played an entire season.

An all Pro RB? Who's that? We don't have one. We'd like Bell to be an All Pro, but he most certainly won't be selected to the pro bowl and certainly not as the starter. Our backup is pretty darn steady though. However the coach ignored him completely until Bell was out for the season. I think when Bell returned to the lineup from his suspension Williams had somewhere in the zone of 8 to 10 carries until Bell was once again out.

An OLine with Pro Bowl talent? How many of them do you project being selected to the pro bowl precisely? Or are you just thinking wishfully?

We've got 2 guys who are pro-bowl level, 1 who you could perhaps make a case for being all pro. Ben and Brown should be in the Pro Bowl, and if you could momentarily forget that Brown utterly disappeared for a few weeks while Ben was out you could perhaps fool yourself into believing he should be a starter. Ben with his injury status this year just doesn't have the numbers to deserve all-pro status either.

So... I'm not seeing this talent argument you're making. We have quite a few very solid players but without Ben... this team isn't going to put up the numbers you would expect from a super talented group. You know it. I know. The rest of the league DEFINITELY knows it.

The Rooney's are loyal to great players and coahces in general. Prior to Noll they fired plenty of coahces rather quickly. We really don't know about internal drama, outide of Ben taking a shot or two at Haley's play calling when it was questionable.

I think we have better talent than we show, don't you? When this happens is coaching, and Tomlin is the top man.

Cowher's teams seldom lost with the lead, and beat inferior competition at a great rate, doing so with he likes of Stewart, Maddox, Tomzack, Miller and Graham as starting quarterback!

For the past three seasons, Tomlin lost 3, 3, and 4 games to teams below .500. This is worst than any coach with a winning record.

Timeouts/Time Management: I believe every fanbase has beef with their coach regarding these. Its like low hanging fruit if you dont like your coach. Funny thing is, half the time these decisions are way too 'situational' that we may not have all the information to intelligently argue what to do.

Not all of them. Our left too many seconds drain off the clock when he has timeouts to spare. I have suggested a timeout coach before, familiar with various situations, and the math of time outs

A bad gambler: I believe we have the highest rate of 2pt attempts and conversions in the NFL. Lets also not forget that gamble in SD- How'd that work out?

Tomlin says he's a gambler. His decision not to kick a FG early ( Silly fake punt call he okayed ) and not to go for it late cost us the best chance to win the Seahawks game. Had he kicked the FG early, he's up with a chip shot late. Had he gone for it late, and scores, we win. If not, the Seahawks are pinned deep. Terrible calls!

Playoff win: Cant argue this. But its a false equivalence for what constitutes a good coach. Sexy Rexy, Andy Reid, and John Fox have tons of playoff wins with nothing to show for it. That is my main point. If we were winning playoff games, the smaller mistakes mean less.

I think Ben and the weapons around him are improved! Many talented offensive teams advance deep to the playoffs. But the coaching around the talent has not been as good, and the player's leadership and ability to develop seem a tad slower.

Just. Go. Away. I swear you are the biggest turd that's ever posted here. Go enjoy better things in your life as an Eagles fan...definitely not a "clusterfuck" in Philly and they would never employ someone like Mike Vick! Did I mention biggest turd ever?
