I now understand better

It is simple as this, really.

I agree but I don't think the entertainment/media industry wants to go so quietly. They want turmoil. Generates more ad revenue when we are all at each others throats. If we had a Leave it to Beaver/Andy Griffith like society where everyone got along and which I think most everyone would prefer, sales would be way off....

This nation was divided long before the election.

Trump is not the solution, but he's certainly not the real problem. We need a complete politcal enema. And at the end neither the republicans or the democrats can remain. All the house and the senate must be swept away and an entirely new group of representatives must be put into place that are held accountable to their constituents on a constant basis.

Good idea - NOT gonna happen though...too much money in the background...

I have not gotten over the fact I thought the Steelers were a step ahead of other teams in character, they buckled and became run of the mill. No matter what ones think of the President, he has the same rights as players to voice his thought as well. You can give all the stats you want but many of us fans felt this was taking the NFL product down when it originally started. Tomlin may have been on the field but he lied when he said he made the decision, he is the head coach does he run the team during game day or the players. Another thing in this missed is Mitchell running on field with face cover as ones on TV in streets, destroying property and stealing, sad commentary on the Steelers yesterday. Fans a day later can pick and choose but they were chumps, before game during and after.

Mike Mitchell wears the towel on his face before, literally, every game. He always has, and probably always will. That definitely did not spawn because of this supposed "protest."

Do any of you stand in your living room for the anthem when game is on TV? Just curious.

I don't believe this is relevant since we are not actually at the game, anytime I've gone to the game everyone stood for the national anthem. I generally don't turn the game on until like 10 after, or I'm not even in the room until after kick off because the game never starts on time and I'm sick of pre game blabbering.

No and we don't paint black lines under our eyes, wear jock straps or take a knee knee during the Anthem either.

What a juvenile question...how old are you 21 ? just curious.

They could just quit playing the anthem at sporting events and eliminate the advertising sandwich it creates before games

Ike Taylor used to do that too. I think it was a style thing that the defensive backs adopted. (Well some of them)
