Hines

Odd fact. Despite being a pretty good QB at Georgia Hines only threw 2 passes in his NFL career and his only completion for 17 yards was as a rookie. He never threw a TD pass with the Steelers. I think the great passing WR you are thinking of was Randle-El

Oh ****. I mixed/messed up those memories. Thanks for the heads up. :) they were both in the play my memory mangled.

My favorite thing about Hines was how defenseman hated him, because they'd try to lay him out with a big hit and he'd just get up with a giant smile to make the first down hand signal. Hahaha then he'd dish that physicality back on a block and they'd complain he was dirty......gosh Hines was great

When the NFL creates a rule with you in mind you are special. And that was only one of his many solid contributions. A player you have to look beyond statistics to realise his full impact on the game. One of the few true underrated players.

was watching nfl channel tonight. free agency stuff. then they went into the top 10 receivers of the 2000s Hines was number 5. with all the AB **** the last several years, I forgot about how great Hines was.
Great Blocker, Great receiver, great Steeler! lets hope he is the next Steeler to get into the Hall of fame..

And with all that, EVERY YEAR they tried to replace him, with something shiny or fast.
