What the heck is wrong with the fans at Heinz tonight. Sitting on their hands against Baltimore. Come on Vic is what we got the team needs to get fired up and the fans need to follow suite.

lots of no shows......I think people are staying away because of Ben being out and Vick being the replacement.........

Worst HOME crowd in the NFL.....all things considered. There is no excuse for this other than the yinzners have developed a sense of entitlement.

There home crowd has been terrible for several seasons.

The Steelers away game fans are excellent!

I would guess a lot of folks have to work the next day and can't afford to get home at 1:00 AM and or they figured it would likely be another loss to the Ravens. One of these days the Rooneys will take a look at the revenue being generated and understand the product they have been putting out there for the past several years is not up to snuff. Say what you will but these teams do not provide half the excitement that they did in Bettis era at least from my point of view,

I love going to games, but I wasn't even excited about going to a Thursday night game anymore. Not many regulars go and a lot are just looking to make a buck also hurts. Definitely not the best home fans in the league, but the crowd was pretty into the game and the closed end makes a noticeable difference.

Heinz Field was loud last night. And into it the whole game. I was very happy with the crowd. Besides a few no shows
.

The crowd around us was loud as hell. My kids and I couldn't even talk this morning

The last game I attended at Heinz Field was in 2013.

I was surprised to see how little focus was on the actual game, as it felt more like a shopping mall atmosphere, with a bunch of teens and twenty-something just casually lounging around the concession ring. It was weird.

There are always people in the vestibule rather than in the stadium, but overall it was pretty loud there... I was hoarse all day today

At any moment, 20% of the attendance is at the concessions/rest rooms. The truth.

Don't forget the Carassells, thats another 10% at any given time................STEELERS tIME !!!!!!

It would be nice if these no shows would sell their tickets at face instead of trying to rake people over the coals.

I could even see making a few dollars for the trouble but the increase put on most tickets is ridiculous.

Steelers games aren't what they used to be and it's a shame.

Many, if not most, of fans who attend the games are either very casual fans who are there for the event aspect, or older season ticket holders or corporate guests who were given tickets.

Just one of the reasons I don't really care to attend Steelers games anymore.

The days of making a buck off of tickets is over. In the last two or three years I have eaten many tickets because people want them for nothing, 2/3 of the value or less. They were not first level seats but still was not able to unload them. The Ravens game tickets were available through ticketmaster two days before the game and these were face value tickets plus handling costs. If you really want to go to the game you don't have to pay what it cost five or six years ago.

There were only 3000 no shows which isn't bad for a Thursday night game .. And the crowd was very LOUD.

The other thing that's a shame is the empty seats at the beginning of the game and the second half. It's gotta be upwards of 20,000.

That's interesting. Looked like a lot more from home. Maybe they were all in the can when the camera would pan around the stadium.

Did closing in the stadium seem to hold in the noise?

Most people stayed to watch the Bus get his ring then went for the 1/2 time break -- I am sure that most people were still in the concourse when the second half started attendance was 63,000 + (not sure the exact number -- close to 64,000 I believe )

Yes .. My seats are in that end of the stadium -- it seems to be MUCH louder - Even the scoreboard sound is louder

Just did not sound loud or when they scanned as if they were into the game. To bad ones their was treated to some bad coaching.

Definitely off topic but what's your opinion on the new endzone seating? I thought it was kind of cool to see the river, the city and all the activity on the open end but also understand that they need the revenue from those seats as well.

I personally loved being able to casually walk underneath the main scoreboard and watch both the warm ups and parts of the game away from the seats.

I understand why the Rooney's did it (more ticket revenue), but they destroyed perhaps the best part of the stadium in the process.

And it would be better if they could find a way to make the concessions move faster. Being a Thursday night game I would imagine a lot of people sold their tickets or didn't go. I often buy tix for Thursday games because they are cheaper since the game is less desirable.

Is that a Pittsburgh thing or do all teams fans feel the same way? Nobody wants to use a vacation day and have a 3 day weekend?

Vacation day? That's a luxury these days for whats left of the blue collar workers in Pittsburgh...especially since most of the unions have been eliminated...

The yinzers are lucky to have a two day weekend these days..
