Heinz crowd

Is that a Pittsburgh thing or do all teams fans feel the same way? Nobody wants to use a vacation day and have a 3 day weekend?

I suspect every team's fans feel that way. Not everyone has or wants to use a vacation day, or fight traffic, get home at 2 and be up at 6 for work. I'm self-employed but my wife's work is pretty stingy with PTO although they are a good company to work for otherwise.

Definitely off topic but what's your opinion on the new endzone seating? I thought it was kind of cool to see the river, the city and all the activity on the open end but also understand that they need the revenue from those seats as well.

ir is very odd but it is hard to believe that the endzone was ever open -- I could not see the river from my seats so to me it does not make a difference in the view. It does however make a BIG difference in the sound intensity

Positives:
* The stadium is louder, you can hear that end zone, especially when the other team is inside the red zone. Big difference.
* Lower bowl wraps the entire way around and the stadium feels complete.
* A great view of the field standing in the plaza under the scoreboard. You still can't stand right up against the fence, but it's a much better view of the field than it used to be.
* New food options are available.
* There's an observation deck on the backside of the plaza that looks out onto the city.

Negatives:
* Takes away from the "grand entrance" feel that you used to have.
* The entrance itself is extremely sterile with club seating right there. Kind of disappointing
* The stadium builder bricks are now gone and the names are now listed on the walls of the entrance.
* The club section that extends outdoors has cheap looking metal roofing.

Beyond that, I can't think of many negatives. I really only miss the awesome entrance that you got walking into Gate A, but the positives outweigh the negatives IMO.

Now they need to get a new video board that actually fills the entire space with screen (no boarder and ad space like they have now). When compared with the new board in the corner, the main board is real bad. I also hate how they have all of the fencing around the stadium now. It used to be open space and now it feels like you are a herd of cattle heading to the butcher when entering the stadium. The Port Authority also has the gate to the stairs at the T-Station locked that are on the stadium side. Can add an additional 10 minutes to your time to simply fight the crowd to get down the stairs and then cross the street. Real dumb.
