So I woke up and saw this on ESPN.com. Now easy with the flame throwers Nation! I too was all, "WTF? Ngata is washed up. Fowler is on crack. Where did this come from?" . But, then I read his point and it does make some sense. I mean think about it. If he drops to the right price and we can't secure a solid DB in FA, and if we can sign Kelvin or Ramon wouldn't a vet at NT be worth the short term deal? I know...that's a lot of "ifs". It's the off season...I'm bored. He'll probably command to much $$ and he is NO spring chicken. Ah, like I said...I'm bored, but honestly I have to get off the throne to get ready for work.
It's Monday. ..have fun with it.

Nose tackle Haloti Ngata
The Steelers will wait for the market to simmer, then secure the proven nose tackle who can still rush the passer on a sensible two-year deal. Good corners will be too expensive, so the Steelers will build through the draft while re-signing William Gay or maybe Brandon Boykin. Ngata would give the Steelers flexibility to mix and match defensive fronts alongside ends Cameron Heyward and Stephon Tuitt. According to Pro Football Focus, Ngata had 33 pass-rush pressures in 2015. -- Jeremy Fowler
