Initial reports said a 4-6 week time table for Joe Haden’s return to the Steelers lineup, but Pro Football Talk is reporting a better outlook.

Per source, Steelers CB Joe Haden only has "slight" fracture of leg and is expected to miss three weeks. No surgery expected. — ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk)

That would be wonderful if true.
 
First it was Tuitt lost for the season. Now it was Haden. it really does have feel like that D word. 3 weeks would be awesome.
 
Definitely hope this is the case. We will need him during the stretch run. Though I was impressed with Sensabaugh in relief today.
 
Technically, he still broke his leg.

I'm hoping for the best, but the timeline given seems too optimistic, especially for a CB.
 
Fractures don't heal in 3 weeks, so I'm not sure what info PFT is getting. Personally if it's a hairline fracture, it's 8 weeks, and he'll be ready for our first playoff game after our bye week ;)
 
can't rush him back, Sensabaugh was pretty good out there...we'll see what we have in Sutton as well.

Worst case senario is 4-6 weeks via plenty of doctors on Twitter.
 
Joe has been a difference maker on this team. The amount of difference from that position last year to the same position this year seem 131 light years difference..... SPEEDY but sound recovery.

I hear you, but it's a weight bearing bone, so I'm having trouble seeing the optimism. A hairline would be the optimal fracture, but fractures are normally 6-8 weeks to heal.

I'd be very happy with 6 weeks, I'd be ecstatic if it's only 3 weeks!

No, it isn't a weight bearing bone. The tibia carries the weight of the two bones in your leg.

Tibia*

There are two bones in the lower leg. The tibia is the primary bone for weight bearing and support. The fibula, especially where Haden was hit, is not structural. Thus, there will be no requirement for a cast.

Haden wasn't a fast healer in Cleveland, i would be shocked if he was back in 3 weeks.
