Haden Could Miss 3 Weeks

Tibia*

There are two bones in the lower leg. The tibia is the primary bone for weight bearing and support. The fibula, especially where Haden was hit, is not structural. Thus, there will be no requirement for a cast.

Isn"t that the injury Jack Youngblood had when he played in s-bowl for rams vs Steelers???

3 weeks seems very aggressive to me. I would think at 3 weeks, he would still be in danger of a full break that would require surgery - that is if he took a wrong hit or something else happened. If they say he can play in 3, I give him 4 just to make sure he's there for the playoffs when we will definitely need him.

If we keep the #1, or even grab the # 2 seed, he has 8 weeks.......

Titans, Packers, Bungles, Rats, *'s, Texans, Clowns.

That's who we have left. Wild guess but I would say he is back after the *'s game possibly against the Texans or Clowns. Too early to tell. That bone needs to heal and he needs to be able to run and plant. If we must IR him, IR him and he's back for R2 of the playoffs. Risky move if he can be back sooner than that.

he'll definitely be back by the Clowns game

And by default this probably means Sutton doesn't get activated off IR. Haden taking one of the 53 active roster spots means they would have to give up another player on IR to activate Sutton. Doesn't sound like Haden to IR will happen, which is good but I would like to see Sutton returning kicks. Our return game is a joke.

Speaking of IR, isn’t it pretty stupid how IR works for the NFL. Baseball and basketball have short term IR where guys are added for a few weeks. Football, where injuries are most prevalent forces teams to hold out guys basically for a full season or half a season if you want to replace them on the roster.
