Good Zinger on how Steelers currently doin business

The GM is not a coach, they are an organizational manager of the team as a whole. Sometimes a good coach can rise to the level of a good GM, some cannot. There are MANY aspects of team management and many OPINIONS on what skills should be a priority in that position. The STEELERS ownership believes they have a great coach so they value coaching experience less in their GM

This was settled when Donahoe and Cowher had their dispute.

However! Since Kahn and Weidle came about i feel like there has been a shift . Cant say how much,,

I agree with this.

It’s visibly obvious there is an impact with Kahn and Weidl being the root of it.

Also add in the Tomlin talk of change. Not just the end of season loose PO game change, but something that appears longer term as he has brought up there will be change start of this season and a couple of other times he’s referred it…….

We will see how this change is translated to field of play.

This would be the year of accountability, with all the parts supplied to his whim……….

I feel he needs more than ONE playoff win to justify keeping him. (We know he is going no-where regardless of outcome)

We’ll see if his Tomcepts take over the league and he revolutionizes play with conservative play and baseball scores and game shortening techniques that make the game like watching grass grow or paint dry…I’m certain one of these days the Tomcepts will obviously reign supreme and the Steelers will rise to glory hoisting number 7 averaging 17 pts a game.

Just a matter of time

I think in this case the GM is in charge of the big picture especially as it pertains to the cap. I'd say stuff goes down like this:
Kahn: Coach Im hearing the Dolphins want to move Ramsey. Interested?
Tomlin: Very.
Kahn: They want Minkah but they will throw in Smith at TE and Arthur really likes him.
Tomlin: Can you make the money work?
Kahn: Yes.
Tomlin: Make it happen.

If that’s how it went down, then it looks like a great relationship.

Maybe this year he’ll be so kind to at least tell us the ingredients of Apple Pie, I fully realize releasing the code of ingredients to the hot dog would be detrimental to his strategic Tomcepts but c’mon at least give us the ingredients of the Apple pie Khan and Weidl are baking up.

Maybe even a chocolate pudding pie since we can’t possibly put the pudding back in the box.

Yes if Tomlin is making great decisions. Hasn't really looked like that since Kahn took over. They are making grasping decisions to remain relevant. Win Tomlinships and stay in Pittbugatory if you will.

Tomlin's "Pittsburghatory"!!!!
Used in a sentence:

The Steelers have been in Pittsburghatory for well over a decade with HC Tomlin, while the Iggles have fired Andy Reid, won a SB, fired that coach and won and lost in 2 other SB appearances. Reid's Chefs have appeared in 5 of the last 6 SBs, winning 3 while the Steelers rack up Tomlinships.

They should consider building a bigger trophy case.

I guess that is the negative way to look at it. It could also be said they are preparing for the future while not bottoming out. Trying to do right by their veterans and give them a chance to see if they can make a run. Because none of these moves will hurt them long term to keep them from doing what they want to do.

That pretty much sums up Williamson's from Scouts Eye thinking. I wanna believe that.

If you are like me and honestly believe you have to spend some time at the bottom to get to the top........it does make a huge difference. Like if you catch lightening and Mason Rudolph or better yet the Howard from Ohio State look like a legit starter (it does happen). If you artificially cultivate another 10-7 Wildcard Blow out. I think that really sets you back as a franchise.

Idk. Since 1969 when they went 1-13, they never really bottomed out. They got lucky with Ben sitting at 11. I understand the theory, but what has it gotten the Bengals, for example? Relevance on occasion? Big deal. The Chiefs were good, traded up for Mahomes and became great. I'm not sure that is all it's cracked up to be.

We automatically assume it will be another 10-7 Wildcard blowout, and certainly for good reason. But, maybe this year will be different?

But truthfully do you honestly think it will be different? It's been like 6 or 7 straight years of this.

Gotta be able to laugh at the clown shown
It’s all we have left

That's not an easy answer. When I go fishing, I always think I'm getting the big one. This will be a day for it. Or the big buck I saw on the camera will walk on by. So I always go in with some hope. I also don't believe what happened years prior will impact this year. Each year is a stand alone. So while common sense agrees with you, shiit, I'll have hope. It's more fun that way.

There are many opinions and voices in the room but do you honestly believe he isn't the final say? Really? What is Kahn's football Acumen?
I really do believe he isn't the final say. I think he has a lot of say but they just rewarded Omar quite handsomely making it less likely he is a figure head.

I noticed you didn’t ask for the ingredients of Football………………. We’ve seen his ingredients for football…..

Hes not a figure head. He's never been a figure head. He's a deal maker and if you want to kick cap space problems down tge road and fit a guy in.......He's pretty damn good. But his football credentials are pretty limited. Hence Weidel. In the end no one steps on that roster without Tomlin’s word. No one.

Like I said I am sure Tomlin has input, but the Khan man seems to run the ship IMHO, he certainly takes input, but I feel that Weidel may have more influence in the decisions than even Tomlin.

I always go into every game and every season with hope…without hope there would be zero sense to watch

Unfortunately that beautiful girl Hope stopped hanging out with her hot friend Faith so the endless good times threesomes are long gone come game days and lately this ugly ***** Debbie Doubter keeps showing up on game day talking through the whole game about unpaid bills and upcoming dentist appointments

Hope needs to bring Faith back around, that was a lot more fun when she was hanging out.

Thats fine. Now that you have been an adult for many years, how many big bucks and big fish?

Ingram, Blount, Williams, even Deebo might disagree.
