Can't label him a bust yet. He's been injured. If he doesn't produce this year, then, yes, he is a bust and should be let go.
I called into a local radio show shortly after the pick and asked why do other teams get production out of a 1st rounder and we have a project guy who isn't ready to start.
Meaning at pick 16 or 17 (whatever he was) we need someone who can start now.
I was lambasted and chastised like I had no clue what I was talking about.
From the same people who are now questioning the pick.
The bad drafts have left us where we are and now they have been drafting by need and not BPA.
The question I have is are we drafting bad talent or not developing the players? or both?
That said if we can get the defense together I don't think they are that far away from something special.
Must hit this years class for the sake of the future???
