Another week and another observation that Tomlin & the Steelers don't live in their FEARS, OBVIOUSLY! I can hear the Tomlinism's word for word in the Post Game. Bottom line is this team came into this game against a 3-12 Browns team and under estimated their opponent. I don't know how this happens every year....whenever the Steelers visit Cleveland. It is their Super Bowl each and every year! Tomlin should have had this team better prepared than he did today. Cleveland's Defense is excellent and we knew this would be a low scoring game but after this game its really obvious that the Steelers have no WR's beyond DK Metcalf. Today our WR's had 8 receptions for 60 yards. The Steelers offense was abysmal as I dont' think they converted a 3rd down that was more than 3 yards all day today. Some questionable play calling down the stretch in the 4th Quarter by the Steelers really makes me question WTF Arthur Smith was thinking. 2nd & 3 and you run a sweep with Warren lose 1yd, 3rd & 4 and you run the same play with Gainwell around the outside and lose 2 more yds...setting up a 4th & 6 and punting away to the Browns. Offense was abysmal today! Rogers might have completed 3 passes that were over 10 yds in the air. The Browns have a great Defense but the Steelers play calling made it easy for Cleveland's Defense.

Defensively the Steelers Defense did enough to win this game but they were let down by an offense that played scared....worried about the fact Myles Garrett would record a sack and break the record. Honestly who gives a ****! You play to win the game....Tomlin didn't do that today! He lived in his FEARS and it was OBVIOUS!

This sets up a Prime Time matchup next Sunday night vs the Rats at home. After witnessing what this offense looks like without DK Metcalf I don't really think the Steelers have any chance next week unless they can knock Derrick Henry out of the game early!

Someone has gotta say it....the officiating in the NFL just screams to me that the NFL is RIGGED! It's almost become so obvious that it's happening right in front of our eyes but we don't even realize it. Case in point....this year the NFL is using REPLAY ASSIST to overturn or review Penalty Calls......you saw it today.....early in the first half I think it was the Steelers 2nd drive of the game.....a pass play to Scotty Miller for 24 yds downfield.....MVS was flagged for OPI....saw the replay....it was obvious MVS never even touched the DB and impeded his progress.....REPLAY ASSIST should have over turned this and the completion should have st00d. In the 3rd Quarter....MVS caught a pass for 10 yds.....Penalty Flag was thrown.....REPLAY ASSIST picked up the flag and let the completion stand. Two different plays with replay assist and there is no consistency when using replay assist.

Also on the 4th down play.....how the hell was Denzel Ward not flagged for Pass Interference? He never looked back for the ball, was face guarding MVS and made contact with him before the ball got to the recevier. Should have easily been a Pass Interference call but the NFL wants the matchup of the Rats vs Steelers in prime time so IMO the call was not flagged and the play stood.

This might sound like sour grapes but as a fan I'm losing my love for the game due to the awful officating....and it's all due to the $$$ that is placed on these games week in, week out. I really do think the NFL is rigged!

Per Tomlin's Post Game:
Darnell Washington - Forearm injury that appears to be a broken arm....so it's not looking good for him for Sunday.

Game Balls:
Alex Highsmith - 2 sacks, 3 tackles....got good pressure all day

Game Goats:
Mike Tomlin - Circle this game on your calendar each and every year! Have your team prepared. It's Cleveland's Super Bowl each and every year! Make sure your prepared!
MVS - This guy is absolutely a lazy *** Wide Receiver! A waste of a roster spot! 9 targets, 3 receptions, 1 fumble.....I just don't see the effort from this guy out there
Arthur Smith - Some of that play calling today especially in the 4th Quarter was just terrible! Why is he still our OC?

FU's:
DK Metcalf - You dumb *** mother fu@ker! You have single handedly put this team is jeopardy of making the playoffs with your selfish actions! **** YOU DEKAYLIN! Someone send this ****** a box of tampons for Christmas!

Game Balls:
Alex Highsmith - multiple impact plays and helped put this team in position to win.

Game Goats:
MVS - way too much action for the worst player on the field for either team.
Aaron Rodgers - bad game today and targeting MVS with the game on the line, oof!
Chris Boswell - make the FG and maybe the Steelers play a bit differently, Tomlin does better playing for a FG than a TD.

FU's:
DK Metcalf - dumb move last week may cost the team a playoff spot.
Mike Tomlin and staff - yet another loss to a lowly team. The consistency is amazing. I'm worried about winning a playoff game and the Steelers can't even beat the Browns to clinch a spot.

I have a difficult time listing Bos as a goat. But he's definitely in a slump. I don't have a lot of confidence in him making kicks right now. Even when he's successful he doesn't seem to be striking the ball like he has been.

I guess it's a case of what have you done for me lately.

Duggar gets a big FU for giving up that lazy ***** TD. If the fumb **** turns his head it's at least an incomplete if not an interception.

He can ******* walk home.

Boswell nearly cost us the game last week with a miss and changed how the Steelers had to play late in the game today because of a miss. For a team that plays football with zero margin for error, he has to be better.

No game ball all goats playing a three win team what was on line the division championship. The plan Not to allow Garett to get what a stat, that falls on Tomlin. Pat surly cant wait and should demand to be traded. Tomlin, Smith Rogers ignore Pat every game. Pat get you to a chance to tie and throws are to MVS went the wrong direction twice. Five games lost in a row to three less win team. Warren over five a carry and you give up on running, No throws over the middle and we all know who that comes from the head coach. FU to the coaching staff had to be the worse lost in forty years. Decision of Tomlin forth and one takes a TO and then throws to the endzone to Scotty Miller????? Tomlin had to OK the play. How can Tomlin not be on the hit seat, who believes after this game we will stop the Ravens, embarrassing lose. Boswell in the wind misses fifty some yard field goal is far from the goat. This Offense , plays called when called is the goats. Rogers was pathetic, receivers cannot get open pathetic. you get turn over and can't get one score.... bad. Not one TD when we had more and more chances and could not get two first downs in a row. Zero aggressive play on offense.

No way I can give Kyle a game ball after this play. I have no frigging idea what he was doing. None.

Game Ball. Alex Highsmith. Queen played a decent game I thought. Our TE Pat deserves a game ball. It’s nauseating how they use him this season. I’d ask to be traded if I was him.

Roman Wilson deserves a game ball for the amount of snaps and targets he played as the only speedy young WR on the field that we desperately needed. Oh snap. That was a mirage.

Goats. And big FU’s

I’ve given props to the OLine more than most this season. I thought they played lousy this game. Aaron Rodgers played lousy. Could you lock your eyes on WR’s anymore than today, and throw it to him no matter what? Mann oh Mann.
Chris Boswell has to be a goat. It’s the year of the kicker in the NFL. He had to have that. It’s a what have you done lately league. His past does not get him a pass.
Nick. Sorry dude. That was the easiest pick 6 you will ever get. It would have changed everything. You get a goat. MVS…..WTF…..why are you even taking snaps away from Wilson? Which leads me to the biggest goat of all……

Coach Mike choke Tomlin. CMCT. That 4th and 1 call with a full 3:00 to go to the little guy in the corner just took the cake for me. Anyone would have tried to run for a first and then milk the clock so the opposition gets the ball back with the least amount of time. But not our beloved coach. Let’s get cute Mikey. And it was a full Time Out. So you signed off on this. The only passing of any consequence at all was to Pat in this game . So let’s not throw to a big pass catching TE on 4 straight plays in the end zone to end the game . Even though he got you there. Pat. Ask to be traded. You’ll catch a 100 passes with any competent coach.

Going into this game,I had basically zero confidence if they lost to the Stains, they could beat the Ravens. They were there for the taking. Now there’s even less. They will feed The King all game long. It will be another epic meltdown. This was all on coaching / game planning.

FIRE TOMLIN !!

FU to the Rooneys for erasing all accountability for anything that happens with this team. They are a bunch of rich a-holes who have zero respect for their fanbase or the great players who built the legacy that they squeeze every dime out of. Every player decision at the WR position of this team has been disastrous including the latest one from Tomlin. We trade a blue chip top 5 receiver for peanuts because he was a head-case and we sign a guy who get suspended for the most important 2 games of the season for ******* with a fan! This responsibility lies with the head coach. F Tomlin and F the Rooneys.

I’ve been hard on Cam Heyward this season, I think he had a decent game. Showed hustle.

BIGGEST G-O-A-T ============ TOMLIN

Salute the nation

100% Rooney and Coaches issue. They got rid of Pickens because they could not control the locker room. There have not been take control coaches for some time.

I hate what this team has become. I lived through the dark ages of the 80s, one year when we lost our first two games something like 92-10. This team is worse. Looks like something that fell out of the south end of a north bound horse. I honestly hope they get beaten like a rented horse next week at home and don't make the playoffs - maybe it will finally make Rooney, at a minimum, not renew Tomlin. Nearly every one of the playoff teams in the AFC took care of business today. Anyone that thinks this team is advancing, even on the slim chance they make the playoffs, is dumber than a bag of hammers.

I don't think this team is worse than the 1989 Steelers team from a talent standpoint but the one thing that Steelers team had that this team doesn't was a great Head Coach! Chuck Noll took a lot of heat in the late 80's. If you go back through history and look at what Noll was doing in the late 80's he was once again building a Super Bowl Contender. Many of his draft picks were responsible for Bill Cowher's early success as a Head Coach. Chuck Noll > Mike Tomlin. Even Chuck knew he had rebuilt the team into a Super Bowl Contender....but he told his wife....it was time to retire!

Careful, No Kap doesn't like that sort of talk. :D

It appears we're back to the days of "Where's the O, Joe?"
For those who are not old geezers like me, there was a period in 1990 or 1991, like half a season, when the defense actually scored more TD's than the offense.

Regardless of coaching, the 1989 team had better "integrated" talent - talent that knew how to work together with quality veterans who had been there. Merril Hoge, Louis Lipps, Dermotti Dawson, Terry Long, Tunch Ilkin on offense; Bryan Hinkle, David Little, Hardy Nickerson, Greg Lloyd, Rod Woodson, Carnell Lake on defense. What we have now is, for the most part, a bunch of over-the-hill veterans mixed with younger players who have no concept of the Steeler tradition since it hasn't been there for over a decade. Wasted draft picks in Roman Wilson and Kaleb Johnson who combined for zero catches and zero yards. Roman Wilson in particular galls me - if he can't be relied upon to contribute with DK and CA3 sidelined what was the point in even giving him a roster spot?

Tired of seeing this **** that they were more concerned about Garrett's sack record. I can remember maybe one game where Garrett had a good game against the Steelers. So that's one thing I can agree with Tomlin and Rodgers when they said they didn't do anything against him they haven't done before.

I remember that. Seem to remember Greg Lloyd being intensely disgusted at what the offense was doing or lack thereof and wasn’t afraid to call them out.

It’s hard to sit here and watch this team, game after game, even in victory. Of the measly 9 wins, not one was a comfortable, enjoyable win, all having us sweat to the end. Just the same, will be the division title, even if they manage to win next week. Couldn’t seal it against a 3-12 team… I don’t care it was in division.

But worse, watching Texans/Chargers, Eagles/Bills, Bears/49’ers, etc., this team does not belong in the tournament, regardless of a potential division crown next week. Similarly, argument can be made for the Ravens as well, but first of all, I don’t care about them n second, they’ve been able to pace the Steelers without they’re QB for several games.

Lastly, watching all the scenarios for undecided #1 seed made me realize, the Steelers haven’t been in the conversation for that in YEARS!!! Under Cowher and his 3 years with a HOF QB, he managed 6 AFC title games, 2 SB n 1 championship. Tomlin 3 AFC title games and equal SB stats, both being 15 or more years ago.

We have been brainwashed into accepting 9-8, 10-7 as a standard and not conference or league championships as the standard.

Big fat FU to me again, IF I waste my time watching next Sunday, regardless of outcome, knowing this team will lose the following week to the Bills/Texans/Chargers. We will be lucky (sarcasm intended) to reach the new standard of 1 n done, instead of 1 seed and conference/league championships.

Game ball to Highsmith, and really, the whole defense. They basically gave up 10 points, excluding the free field goal given to them late in the game by the feeble Steelers' offense. The Browns' offense had actually played pretty well in their prior two home games with Sanders, putting up 20 on the Bills and 29 on the Titans.

Rodgers has to be a goat, and really, the whole offense was anemic. Guy threw for 168 yards on 39 attempts, a miserable 4.3 average. It's just the same bullshit week after week with the passes at or behind the line of scrimmage. Yeah, missing DK hurt, but other than a game or two this year, the Steelers just refuse to throw the ball deep most of the time, and when they do, Rodgers is often inaccurate.

And not taking advantage of a linebacker visibly limping around in the middle of the field is just inexplicable to me. If they didn't consistently throw in the middle today, folks, it is just not going to happen under Tomlin. I've never seen anything quite like it -- are you telling me that the Browns didn't have another linebacker active today who could perform better than a guy hobbling around on one leg? I am running the same or a similar play to Freiermuth (where he gained 23 yards) again and again until Cleveland either stops it or takes the clown out of the game. Truly bizarre behavior/strategy from both of these professional teams.

Anyhow, none of us will have to worry about how much playing time Will Howard will or won't get next week. Just another yearly episode of Groundhog Day over and over again. We're stuck in MTP -- Mike Tomlin Purgatory.

Game Ball - Highsmith, Pat, and Cook. PF was great when they actually used him.

Goat - MVS terrible game. Mental and physical mistakes. Dugger for being blind, but i have seen other teams miss that play as well. He was out of position and tried to get back and forgot about the ball.

I'm not blaming Boz. Last week was a bad snap, this week the snap was dropped but he made it. The missed one he hit very well but I think he was expecting the wind to push it and it never moved.

FUs - Tomlin. just a terrible offensive game plan. The Browns literally had one guy who could barely walk and we didn't target the middle. Also give Wilson a shot especially being down 2 WRs. I felt we were running "Canada's " offense again. Everything was short and wide. Way too worried about Garrett and not the game
