Well where do I start......Don't blame that loss on the offense! Our Defense might be the worst in the NFL! It's certainly the worst Steelers Defense I have seen in my 45 years of watching Steelers Football. They fundamentally can't tackle. You can almost bank on 2-3 missed tackles per run by any RB. All you see is the Defensive players trying to tackle the football and strip it.....it's like they aren't focused on tackling the guy with the ball but trying to strip the football. I've never seen a more undisciplined Steelers Defense...even in the lean years of the mid 80's when we lost all the Steeler greats from the 70's that Steelers Defense wasn't this bad! Looking back I'd say the reason that 80's Defense wasn't as bad it was because those guys had pride! This Defense has NO PRIDE! I don't know who the hell is in charge of that **** show on Defense but the more I watch it the more I think it has Tomlin's fingerprints all over it! I know one thing....whoever it is needs to be held personally responsible for it and they should be FIRED!

Game Balls:
Ben Roethlisberger - 452 yds 3 TD's.....I guess he's at least in mid-season form.
Juju Smith Schuster - 13 rec 121 yds 1 TD.....some nice clutch catches today on critical plays to keep the drive going.
Jessie James - 5 rec, 138 yds 1 TD.....he is able to get open when Ben is able to extend the plays

Game Goats -
Artie Burns - BURNED 3X for TD's this game. About the only thing positive I can say about Burns play today is the fact that he didn't get any dumb penalties. This guy is the Uncle Jarvis of the Steelers Secondary.
Bud Dupree & TJ Watt - 3 combined tackles....very little pressure....especially from Dupree who seems like he has one move when rushing the QB...that's run upfield and let the LT use your momentum and speed to push you right out of the play. Why did they pick up his 5th year option?
Chris Boswell - WTF dude....missed PAT & missed FG. This guy better get his **** together.
Jordan Berry - even with the 59yd punt in the 4th QTR that happened to roll out at the 1 YD line....he still only averaged 32 yds per punt. This is PATHETIC! We can't find a better punter than this guy?

FU's:
LeVeon Bell - Your team needs you....$855,000 per week game check. Get your ******* *** to the Burgh!

It sounded like Ben missed a lot of throws. Not saying he's why we lost, but it sounded like we left a lot of yards out there.

Burns gets three balls as he was burnt three times, We at least Burns jersey did not get dirty or torn since he made zero plays.

“Sounded”, so someone that didn’t even watch the ******* game want to spout off on the players...lmao, what a ******* joke.

He did on the long-balls. There's just no timing on those.

He missed Brown once in the endzone and somebody else in the endzone (can't recall who), but the bigger problem on the deep balls is the fact that Ben forced several of them to try to "make" a big play. Four long throws down the sideline to a blanketed receiver, four incompletions, four wasted plays, when receivers were wide open over the middle (Conner, James, JJSS).

He seems to be forcing balls deep to receivers who are completely blanketed.

you have to go deep to keep the safety’s respecting the deep throw, it helps open up the underneath routes.

The secondary lost that game, the secondary, the secondary.

Davis was invisible at FS. No plays.

Burns was horrible and deserves a benching.

The rookie Edmunds isn't ready for prime time.

Bench Burns and bring in a FS.

Sit on their hands and it is going to be a long long season.

I recall 3 plays where the receiver had separation and Ben over-threw them. With that said, Ben has been forcing balls for sure.

We don't need Bell unless he can play defense. This trainwreck has been years in the making and has finally bottomed out. I don't see any hope of things changing either. Tomlin just keeps rolling out the same **** week after week.

Well when Hillgrove says Ben overthrew the receiver, you get a sense - *******. That's why I asked the question. **** you.

Wipe the sand out you douche. Watch the ******* game before you try to analyze off what you heard on the radio. ******* pathetic

Davis blew two tackles that went for big plays

Burns. Just awful.

Agree on Edmunds.

Sorry, I have no problems with them taking deep shots on 2nd and short. At least they're not doing it on 3rd and 1 anymore. The offense is still trying to find their rhythm, but they had nothing to do with today's loss.

No, you don't "have to go deep" when the receiver is blanketed.

You have to send receivers deep to keep the safeties occupied, but if the deep targeted is covered - and he was almost the entire game - then take the 5-10 yard patterns and keep the chains moving, put points on the board.
