I'm almost ready to sing TURN OUT THE LIGHTS THE PARTY'S OVER after watching this **** performance today by this team. There's plenty of blame to go around for the loss of this game for sure. First off the game plan by the Jets to start the game was brilliant. They knew the Steelers would send the house Defensively and the Jets set up quick passes, screen passes and mis-direction plays and was able to offset the Steelers blitz and that led to a quick 7-0 lead. Tomlin and the Steelers were completely outcoached by the Jets in that first quarter. I would have thought that an experienced Head Coach like Tomlin would have been better prepared for the Jets quick passing game since their O-line is HOT GARBAGE but the Steelers front 7 didn't get much pressure on Darnold all day. Duck Hodges didn't have it today......Mason Rudolph came in and provided a spark to the offense but then when Rudolph went down with a Shoulder Injury Duck Hodges came back in and couldn't get it done out there. With this loss the Steelers no longer control their own destiny for the 6th seed in the AFC. Next week the Titans @ Houston and Houston has already clinched. It's a meaningless game for them and the Titans win and they are in. I don't see Houston playing to win that game...they are just going to rest everyone. Also I wouldn't put it past the Ratbirds that Crybaugh doesn't play to win as I think he gets off on putting the final nail in the Steelers coffin so to speak to end the season. So another frustrating loss to a sub par team for Coach T. I'm not sure what his record is vs teams with a losing record but it's not good I know that. After this performance I know one thing......we all need to pray Big Ben comes back 100% and we enjoy his last few seasons as Steelers QB because Rudolph & Hodges both don't have it at the NFL level. I just hope we don't hafta wait another 26 years before we land another Franchise QB like Big Ben......or I may never see another Lombardi.

Per Tomlin Post Game:
Maurkice Pouncey - Knee being evaluated - If Pouncey didn't tear his ACL on this one I'll be suprised. At the very least it's his Meniscus....and he's done for the season!
Mason Rudolph - Shoulder being evaluated
James Conner - Quad didn't allow him to return needs to be further evaluated

Game Balls:
Mason Rudolph - 14 for 20 for 129 yds 1 TD in relief for Hodges but unfortunately Rudolph went down with an injury in the 3rd QTR
TJ Watt - Nice strip sack fumble today...giving him 14 sacks on the season
Dionte Johnson - 8 rec 81ys 1 TD....not bad for a kid who said earlier this week he's hit that Rookie Wall!

Game Goats:
Terrell Edmunds - If your ever wondering why this kid doesn't belong in the NFL as a Safety just watch the TD pass to Anderson. It's not a play action but before the ball is snapped Edmunds jumps forward about 3 yards as if he's expecting a run....it's not a play-action and it was 3rd & 9.....putting him out of position as Anderson easily runs past him and under Haden for the TD catch. If he just sat back and waited....Edmunds make the INT. The chances of Edmunds not getting to the ball carrier if it is a run or pitch out are slim to none. His decision making pre-snap is absolutely terrible and often puts him out of position to make a play on the football. I think this kid is talented and belongs on an NFL roster but he's not able to play Safety. He needs to add 15-20 lbs and move inside at LB'er. He just can't cover on the deep end.
Jordan Berry - When we need him to make a great punt he gets off a terrible punt....21 yd punt today in the 4th QTR instead of being able to pin the JETS deep inside their own 10yd line he can't make it happen.
Devlin Hodges - Was absolutely terrible today.....11 for 17 84yds 2 INT's....he couldn't get it done at any point in the game today.....BRUTAL!

FU's:
FU to Mike Tomlin - COTY my ******* ***! Just because of his **** *** record vs Sub .500 teams!

Tomlin sucks and this team won’t win **** as long as he’s the coach

Have to give a game ball to the entire D.
They have kept this season alive.

FU
Duck Hodges.
Was a good run, fun run. Would’ve been a nice underdog story.
Lack of arm strength, int’s etc. He tried though. Not mad at him.

Tomlin. Obviously

I know he got injured but Pouncey gets a goat for more terrible snaps. It's happening almost weekly now.

Fichner play calling is terrible.

The Goat is us fans that continuedly has to watch a coaching staff that fails on all levels. This is not the Steelers we know

I give game ball to The Duck as well as Mason for trying when the game plan is terrible for the offense. We have no play makers on offense and a line that gave neither the time to throw to receivers that cannot get open.
Ball to Vannett for the only TE we threw too that actually got a first down

Game Balls: Watt, Fitz, Durpee, Heyward.
Game Goats: Berry I guess. Not gonna bag on the offense when it's 2/3 backups and practice squad guys who play like backups and practice squad guys. It is what it is, someone once said.
FU's: Not gonna let it bother me. See Game Goats above.

Backups can be starters in waiting if you are making right decisions. Problem is the team isn't making enough good decisions.

I'm hearing/reading an incessant amount of pure bitching about chyt that was not in the control of tube team.

Sure, there were incident that made the game more than interesting, but the team fought back after 10 point deficit with one of the worst offenses in the league...

Talk about the non-PI call that wasn't awarded to us.

We lost the game on key injuries... and... lest I be burned at the stake - Juju. That last ball has to be caught; maybe it was his bad knee, I don't know?

The Titans lost today so it was no harm no foul but next week will be the deciding factor.

Man up, fellas, this ain't your granny's Steelers!!!

Gameball also to Hargrave. if you go back and watch(I don't recommend) Hargrave had a very solid game

Oh there was plenty of things in this teams control. Bad O play calling, Oline no tweaking during the year, not identifying potential problem areas in the off-season. And make no mistake about it a middling team can be made or broken by bad decisions made, and ones that weren't made at all that should have been made. So for all the good which there is good. There is bad that is roadblocking this team to mediocrity.

Both of the last two passes were in both hands of 13 and 19. Washington has to squeeze that ball, it was his to lose. Both tough catches, but one solid grab and we pull this out.

This offensive line has regressed. Makes me wonder how much Munchak coaches and corrected in real time during games. Big Al not near as good nor Pouncy. I think we see now just how big a deal he was to this Oline and the team as a whole.

Munch was a decent coaching loss that wasn't adequately replaced. Ditto the loss of Drake.

This years misfortunes makes last years failure to make the pllayoffs all the More unacceptable, we were talented and healthy.

Just stupid and poorly coached that led to wasted opportunity.

But hey.........there is always next year........ The Steeler way......The Rooney Way.

8-8 forever.......

Ramon Foster is absolutely terrible. He’s slow and a liability at this point.

So sick of hearing about Tomlin at this point in a season with so many injuries. He has done a fantastic job this year keeping us even close to contention and some of you will never give him credit for it. The only complaint I have about coaching this year is the OC. Now if next year with this defense and and healthy Ben we are struggling them by all means go back to your bashing. Even after a terrible start by Hodges, Tomlin’s team never gave up and fought on. We were a few inches from having a chance to win. By all rights this team should not have won 5 games with the injuries we have. We are not entitled to win every season. We are not gods gift to the NFL. We are spoiled as a fan base with the successes we have had on top of the consistency with which we manage to be competitive every year in a system that is hard to be consistent in with free agency rules and salary cap.

3 playoff wins in 10 yrs below the line

He’s an exciting player, and I know I’m not alone in saying that I look forward to his future.......if we have a qb, of course.

He gets my vote for Steelers ROY over Devin Bush. We’ll never know what two players the Steelers would have ended up with had they not traded up for Bush, but looking back I’m seriously questioning whether if it was the right move. Myles Sanders would have come in handy this season.
