Well I don't think I've ever been more disappointed by my Steelers at any opening season game than this one.....and yes even more disappointed than the Steelers 1989 blowout opening day loss at home to Cleveland 51-0 was easier to tolerate than this one! I'm really beginning to loose faith in Tomlin as our Head Coach. Every big game it just seems like our team is never prepared and there is a lack of effort from the players, then we have complete *** kickings like this game. From a talent standpoint our Steelers shouldn't look this bad vs NE under any circumstances. Looking at our schedule it's no walk in the park.....I hope the road Seahags show up next week because if they don't and we loose I can honestly see this team starting the season 0-3. We never play well when we travel to the West Coast and we have a road trip to SF after next week.

I was surprised how good the Patriots Defense was tonight.....I guess AB does make that much of a difference. They might as well give the Cheatriots the 7th Lombardi now because with their team and you add AB not to mention their 2 starting TE's were out....I really think they will be unstoppable unless someone knocks Brady out for the season! If Brady stays healthy I can honestly see them going 19-0 and winning it all for their 7th Championship. Yes they are that good.....and their secondary is spectacular!

TJ Watt - Hip
Maurkice Pouncey - Ankle being evaluated
Joe Haden - Shoulder but was able to go back into game
Juju - Toe Injury being evaluated

Game Goats:
Donte Moncrief - This guy is a complete bum! He shouldn't even be on the roster. 5 dropped passes tonight and one lazy job running a post corner route slow coming out of his break....should have been a TD instead it was an incompletion. I don't think he has the heart and drive to play at an NFL level! He showed me one thing tonight and it's that he's a lazy WR who doesn't put forth good effort and he has sub par hands. James Washington should be our #2 & Dionte Johnson our #3!
Bud Duhpree - COMPLETE SACK OF ****! This ****** doesn't belong on this roster! A completely pathetic performance vs a Rookie making his first NFL start and he couldn't even get pressure on the QB. TERRIBLE! CUT HIM NOW!!! Ola & Tuzar are already far better in their ability to get to the QB!
Mark Barron - This guy looked ******* lost out there....they've got him at LB'er and on the Rams he played DB. I just don't like this move....Barron looked terrible out there tonight....out of position too damn much and he looked slow!
Terrell Edmunds - He could complete the TRIFECTA of **** *** Wasted #1 Draft Picks.....Jarvis Jones, Bud Duhpree & Terrell Edmunds. He looks like he has regressed from his rookie year!
Kameron Kelly - I almost want to give him a pass because it was his first NFL action but he really blew coverage too many times to not end up here. Combine this guy being lost with Terrell Edmunds piss poor play and we might have the worst secondary in the NFL!
Mike Tomlin - Every loss this guy has this season is another nail in his coffin....I for one am really beginning to question his ability as a Head Coach! Every BIG GAME our team seems unprepared and Tomlin always blames it on execution. Tonight there was execution problems but there were also no in game adjustments on offense or defense. We didn't see the no huddle until inside 4 minutes remaining in the 4th Quarter. Bottom line is our Steelers under Tomlin throughout his career the team has underachieved under Coach T. It just might be time for him to go!

FU's:
Antonio Brown - **** YOU AB! I can't get out of my head that you orchestrated the entire debacle in Oakland knowing that if you got yourself removed from the team the *'s would pick you up! No football player complains about a helmet....just put another ******* helmet on! I saw this coming when all the drama started upon his arrival in Oakland.

I'm wondering, honestly, if Tomless has a feeding tube at this point.

Watt played hard and at least created a tiny bit of pressure. Tuitt made a couple play in the beginning. Conner did what he could considering he was out of the game before half. Dupree is a ****** joke. Anyone who honestly thought he was worth 9 million should be canned. Heyward did nothing. But mostly the game plan gave no on e a chance on defense. You needed to crowd the LOS and at least try.
 
19-0 ts sounds like a real fighter. I wasn't surprised. Not like it's the first time they knocked our dicks in the dirt on prime time. Crown em if you want, but I can bet Kansas City or Baltimore won't be ready to. Let's see how many TD's Mahommes puts on that D. Gordon looked great and AB is AB, but both of them could easily **** it all up. Edelman could test positive for roids again.

We get bullied against pretty much every team anymore. We used to be the bully. There are a bunch of ******* on our defense and offense. Coaching staff included.

I was just hoping to at least see some passion against these *** clowns. They basically got the best receiver in the game away from us after he totally clowned the organization. If this had been the steel curtain of the past they would have been playing for blood! In a few weeks we'll get to watch tinker bell probably run all over us.

A) Bos hit a ******* 18 or 19 yarder right down the middle baby! lol

B) Finney was a ******* stone. Aint NO ******* DL gonna shake him with a 'fake blitz'.

This is what grieves me the most. There's nothing that distinguishes them away from any other team in the league. Just the colors and the name.

You’re stating to lose faith in Tomlin? So are the players. If we go 0-2 the odds of making the playoffs become long

I came to a bad realization this morning. Playing the Pats in Week 1 was a terrible thing in hindsight for my interest in the rest of the season. The fact that I already now know that we don't even deserve to be on the same field with those guys 24 hours into a brand new season makes me not really give a **** about the other 15 games. I already know how it ends. It's like we already played our SB and came out as one the 80's Buffalo teams that had no business being there in the first place. I'd say last night took away 90% of my interest in the 2019-20 football season. I may watch more games and I may not...but I certainly won't be going out of my way or making any special arrangements to watch them. If I have something else to do that day, I won't give it a second thought.

The worst part is that I mentally checked out before the end of the 1st quarter, it was obviously over at that point. I half watched the 2nd quarter while I did other things and I turned it completely off at halftime. This was the first game of the season and I can't stomach watching a half of football. The Steelers just became a non-priority for me this year. Everything usually leads up to "Are we going to as good as the Patriots this year?" Well for once I don't have to wait until late in the season to find out, I already know. The season climax for the season came and went in 15 minutes of football. We should never, ever play the Pats early in the season.....ever.

The lack of speed at WR is an issue.

I’ll give the rookies a pass.

The lack of solid number two TE hurts.

Tomlin’s call to kick a short field goal was sackless. The guy was teary eyed and looked lost.

SuperSteeler nailed it. Until the cheats are not the league favorites enough to get away with cheating, and until this team has a coach worth more than old socks, there is no use watching.

**** you to our coaching staffs. Our O play calling was horrendous all across the board. We couldn't move the ball and the Cheats started scoring right away and we never had a chance. Our D seemed to have no clue the Cheats were capable of not running the ball and only passing. The Cheats had literally a couple runs to start the game and then I don't remember any the rest of the first half. I am sure there was one in there somewhere. But, we could not adapt. Bush played reasonably well. We got no pressure on Marsha, not that we had time to as their guys were wide open coming off the LOS. Barron, who schematically was in the game to cover White - White was his man - just watched White catch balls and then decided to finish his job to where White was and then start his pursuit to tackle him after he had already caught the ball. If you are to cover someone, you get to where your man is and be somewhere in front of him so he doesn't have a 10 yard cushion when they need 5ish to gain the first down.

Oh, and, why the **** are we still using OLB's to cover WR's?
 
I'm with SuperSteeler 100%. Let me add that the NFL in general is turning me off. The fact that they allow teams to meddle in other team's players with no punishment. AB should have been suspended by the league for what he pulled, then suspended again for being a racist. We know he would have had he been a white racist. The whole league is losing my interest. The Pats** should not be able to add Brown until after an investigation is completed.
 
Can anyone tell me what the offensive gameplan was in the first half? I sure as hell couldn't!!!!!!!
 
Gameplans are worthless when WRs cant get open, they were all blanketed, we have no passing game with just Ju Ju and a bunch of schmoes
 
First time I ever remember that Ben looked like one of the players lost. He has played bad before, but I can't remember seeing that dazed look in his eyes, like last night.
Worst play of the night had to be going for the FG at the one. Are you really going to beat Pats with FG's?
