Former Steeler Ryan Harris on Tomlin and the culture

If they could've gotten 16 starts (+playoffs) with Ben, AB, Bell, Ladarius Green, Martavis Bryant, and let's also throw JuJu in there, an ideal 2017, I can't imagine them not hanging 45 on any team. Sure the D would still be suspect, but with Shazier, not so much. A big part of their playoff stall was losing Shazier.

Bush and Tomlin have known each other for longer then two months. The Steelers started scouting him two years ago. Plus Tomlin and his dad have connections. Run in the same circles of friends

Yeah I know that, but my point was, there is no rookie that is going to say anything negative about the coach that just drafted him, whether's he's known him for years or a couple months.

Blah blah blah. Defend Tomlin at all costs. Same old Ike. Are you buying a new pair of darks shades this year to watch the games?

“Blah, blah, blah”. The the perfect representation of your posting/narratives.

I don’t defend Tomlin, I’m defending basic football intelligence. Of which you have a serious deficit of in regards to football cognizance. You’ve been proven wrong so many times before, that it’s possible you might have memory loss issues as well.

Haha. Your football is is lower than Ike Taylor’s jersey number.

Yes you do defend Tomlin. You must have forgotten.

This post is about a former player, here for just a few games that likely is fond of Tomlin for his own social reasons.

I ask you again show me one current head coach who has as many x players speaking out against him? Now comes the part where you avoid the question.

Hahahaha

Avoiding the question? I already answered it. Dumb ***.

How about you list how many former players who have actually spoken out about indiscriminately and only Tomlin?

Reminder...Deebo said Porter made the decision about him not starting.

QB in Green Bay seems to have gotten McCarthy canned by his remarks inside the organization. There’s one player.

Could care less about “social reasons for liking”.....idiotic assumptions from you. One thing for sure, the player was around the coach(es) and staff more than you ever have and knows more than you ever will about the dynamics of a locker room.

If only we weren't playing against other teams that were trying to win. We'd have 16 Lombardis by now...

Who has more talent.. the Steelers or the Ravens? Who had more talent Jax or the Steelers two years ago. So since we are playing against other teams that want to win that gives Tomlin an excuse for only winning 3 playoff games in 8 years? Again the "everyone but Tomlin" excuse.

Much more significant players with a lot more time around the locker room have been critical of Tomlin. Can't discount that if you are going to promote this. Doesn't matter really. We all have our opinions and we can all find players saying something that reinforces our opinions.

Defensively? Ravens and JAX hands down.

I think the Steelers are narrowing the gap on this perception. And could field a better D than either of them this year.

Like you, I think the steelers actually are concentrating on a better "D" as if someone's JOB is dependent on it. We have WAY more positive talent available than any recent year (0-6) then I can Remeber. That G-A-P will be considerably less if not closed and kicked behind us on BOTH those teams and then some.

Salute the nation

I hope you're right Slash,

The Steelers have drafted speed and tacklers the last few years. This D is FAST. If they are on the same page in the scheme, they should be very disruptive. Looking forward to training camp and how they do against our O. Since our O has dominated TC ever since Shazier went down.

And to think all these years while Hoodie has been running a concentration camp in NE and winning Superbowls, we have had Tomlins version of the Walton's in Pittsburgh.

I feel so much better now. :grouphug:

You know I am incredibly insensitive to "micro agressions" an **** like that. Say what you mean. We know what you mean. Just say it outloud

Did I say defensively? No, who has the most talent. It's ok everybody knows the answer...

Ok, offensively, Steelers

Defensively, jax, balt

ST? Probably jax, balt

I know it's hard to admit but you'll feel better if you admit it. That's the first part of recovery. The fact is the Steelers at home against the Jags were favorites. Both on offense and defense. The Steelers were what 5th in overall defense that year. Fact is that almost everyone on this board thought we were going to destroy Jax that game. Trying to change history now to fit your argument doesn't work.

You answered crap. Tell me if any current head coach has more X players taking shots at him in the press of social media. List the name, then I'll reply with your education for the day.

If you bothered to read the link I posted on Harris, you see why he likes Tomlin. Move the thread over to the Politics forum, and I'll spell it out for you.

was it the kickers fault for not putting ben back in the oakland game?

Say no more. Tomlin's faith in Boswell and the Special teams coach is highly suspect. But taking Ben out when he could play underscore's what buffoon Tomlin is. He did top with the lousy coaching in the San Diego game.

Thinking the Steeler's D was better than Jax's is laughable. Sorry I didn't know talent doesn't count on D...

Sorry but this guy wasn’t here long enough to have a cup of coffee.

I understand that you don't want to talk about overall talent because it doesn't fit your argument. So you just want to focus on one aspect. This is what you said before the game.

Jags needed turnovers to win today. Don't turn it over, and it's an easy win.

Their offense can't beat us by themselves.

Coach, do something original and show your work. You love having people do the research for you. So sad....you can’t support your own statements.

How about you list the names of the players who have “officially” in the press, or on their social media accounts, specifically “taken shots” at Tomlin. I’ve already answered about the players you listed and debunked them.

If you felt the article was more for the political form why did you post it in the Steelers form? Your act of agenda pushing is so tired.

My education for the day? From you? Hahahahahahaha.... The only thing you can teach me is additional symptomology for individuals with narcissistic traits.

Anyone who thinks we were the favorites on defense was dumb. I know they had Bortles, but they also had Leonard fornette on offense.

I thought we would beat Jax, too. I didn't count on our offense giving them 10+ points either.

You can admit jax had the edge on us on defense. You will feel better.
