Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 8 (DEN): Reid, Justin, FS, Stanford (B+)
Round 2 Pick 28: Rudolph, Mason, QB, Oklahoma State (A)
Round 3 Pick 7 (DEN): Turay, Kemoko, OLB, Rutgers (A)
Round 3 Pick 28: Jewell, Josey, ILB, Iowa (A+)
Round 4 Pick 6 (DEN): Freeman, Royce, RB, Oregon (A+)
Round 5 Pick 11: Haley, Grant, CB, Penn State (A)
Round 5 Pick 28: Norton, Kendrick, DT, Miami (FL) (A+)
Round 7 Pick 2: Adams, Tony, OG, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 28: Toth, Brett, OT, Army (A+)

An unrealistic trade with Denver was too good to pass up but gave me the ammunition to take Rudolph with the late 2nd rounder. I love Reid as a player - he's a genuine FS. A lot of this was need based but it also allowed me to take guys with proven production and athleticism. I even like the tackle from Army in the 7th! :D

Draft coming up shortly. Time to get real. I approached this draft not so much concerned with First Picks grades etc, though I still used them as a general guideline. Here is how it turned out:

Your score is: 21762 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 28: James, Derwin, SS/FS, Florida State (A+) This was actually my "trade up" target. I tried, 4 times, I could not strike a deal. Low and behold, there he was at 28! Doubtful this happens for real but Marino/Rodgers type drops have happened in the past . . .

Round 3 Pick 3 (IND): Jewell, Josey, ILB, Iowa (A-) Looked hard at Malik Jefferson here. The trade offer, though, was too much to pass up. Indy gives us a 4th and a 6th to replace ours lost to trades, and here sits a LB I think is as good as any rated 2-3 round.

Round 3 Pick 28: Settle, Tim, DT, Virginia Tech (A+) Almost took Nyheim HInes here, but decided a big DT was better value. Totally had overcome my NCSU homerism.

Round 4 Pick 4 (IND): Samuels, Jaylen, RB/WR, North Carolina State (A+) Rats, Hines went 2 picks before! JS is shown on here as a RB/WR but he is more like a TE/WR. Plus he can contribute as a returner. He doesn't have MB's speed, but his size and catch/run ability could help offset Bryant's eventual depture.

Round 5 Pick 11: Scarbrough, Bo, RB, Alabama (A+) No brainer here. Hedge bet against Bell, upside is he is Bus 2.0!

Round 5 Pick 28: Hill, Holton, CB, Texas (A+) 6'3, 4.49 40, hell yes!

Round 6 Pick 4 (IND): Mataafa, Hercules, OLB, Washington State (A+) Interesting prospect with a potential to play ILB also: http://www.steelernationforums.com/showthread.php?20323-Hercules-Mata-afa-inside-LB-in-3-4

Round 7 Pick 2: Weathersby, Toby, OT, LSU (A+) I don't understand why First Pick seems to think we need an OG. I think, with losing our swing T to Cleveland and the slow development of Jerald Hawkins, its more likely a tackle is in order. BJ Finney is just as good, or better than Foster and can also play center.

Round 7 Pick 28: Frazier, Marcell, DE, Missouri (A+) Projects more as a 4/3 type player but, as we play more and more sub-package football, this guy could be a tweener with potential to be a special teams ace. Good practice squad developmental project.

Your Future Picks:
2019 Round 1 Pick
2020 Round 1 Pick

What's the scoop on Dissly??? Is he faster than Jesse, size??? What's your take on him in the NFL?

Dissly is the best blocking TE in this draft. By a long mile. Practically blocks like an extra tackle, but has some (wasn’t used much) catching ability

I think he would be a good rotational blocker. You could use him perhaps in some situations similar to Hubbard. And see if his catch game can develop....

Traded back a little (unrealistic) and took Evans to start. Reid in the 2nd is another great pick. Then, I saw Jackson sitting there in the 3rd and had to take him. He is obviously BPA at that point. I got a ton of value in the rest of the draft. If it fell this way, I would be extremely happy.

Your score is: 22080 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 31 (N.E.): Evans, Rashaan, OLB/ILB, Alabama (B+)

Round 3 Pick 4 (HOU): Jackson, Lamar, QB, Louisville (A+)
Round 3 Pick 28: Penny, Rashaad, RB, San Diego State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 34 (HOU): Settle, Tim, DT, Virginia Tech (A+)
Round 5 Pick 11: Avery, Genard, ILB, Memphis (A+)
Round 5 Pick 28: Lazard, Allen, WR, Iowa State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 2: Facyson, Brandon, CB, Virginia Tech (A+)
Round 7 Pick 28: Flowers, Tre, SS, Oklahoma State (A+)

looking at the latest CBSSports mock, I find it very probable that chips might fall that way (regardless of trades and that), What would you do?

I don't know, get the TE Hurst maybe? Evans has many questions

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2018-nfl-mock-draft-why-the-colts-could-control-the-entire-draft-bills-move-up-for-baker-mayfield/

Evans I would be ok with.I love that he has produced when it mattered against top competition. Reid if they are comfy he wouldn't be a distraction. Maybe a Bell replacement for next year.... Or a Bryant one.......

Did you try trading up, like the Steelers did, to get him?
