Every NFL Owner Lost Today

Man we really come out of this look8ng like chumps... and it’s all bens fault blab blab blab.... we’ve lost 2 of the best player in the league got nothing in return and a 21 million dollar hit we can’t even afford a broken down bum to replace him. thing for me is Im blocking the nfl network those jackasses drove the message that brown’s great guy this was all bens fault... talk about fake news. For brown to quit on his team, *** up any chance getting any thing for him, getting more money, and we, the Steelers and their fans, are left holding the bag shows you the way not only the nfl is going but the whole fuking country! No code...... anything for another buck and the fans cheer..

Does anyone remember when Mike Merriwether wanted to re-do his contract? The guy had a 15 sack season and might have been one of the best three cover linebackers ever to play for the Steelers.


Dan Rooney would have none of it! He sat out the year, then we traded his sulky rear end for a first round pick the next year to Minnesota. That's how you do it.


Art Rooney II has really irked me. The guy seems out of it, and when asked what went wrong only had the cojones to mention the kicking problem.

Thing was that Merriwether wasn't getting 21 million dollars minus 4 games of deductions to sit at home. Also he didn't have a world wide mega phone to broadcast his disatisfaction every three days. I'm not happy with this in the least and I certainly am not happy with the Steelers tactics. I definitely would have held him as an asset as long as I could till someone came with a real offer. But at the same time they were in a tough position. Unless the league can get language in the CBA about this type of situation I'm not sure you can do much else.
 
Brown went up against "The Steeler Way" and kicked their *** and made them look foolish. Holy ****, this weekend went from bad to embarrassing to WTF? To top off the sundae, they get to eat $21M of dead money.

No, they're in decline because of an arrogant, moron head coach, and a gutless owner who doesn't give a crap.
 
I really think it’s tome for the fans to stop going t the games or demand Tomlin be released.

The fans are what make this league happen. No team will tontinue to play to an empty stadium.

If this is the way this team is going to be run then the product is going to continue to nosedive.

I think the Chargers might disagree, but I get what you are saying. We are a ways away from fans not showing up in the masses due to season ticket holders and commitment of money to keep their seats etc......... The real money is the TV contracts so they get paid, fans or not.
