Bring him in and kick the shirt out of him....... for being a rat bird......... then kick the tires and see what he’s got. Can’t hurt to evaluate new/ existing proven talent. Might get the right deal and player.

for those too lazy to click the link

Weddle, who turned 34 in January, was set to enter the final year of his contact, which paid a base salary of $6.5 million. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero pointed out Weddle could have earned an additional $1 million in incentives and the release will save the Ravens $7.5 million against the salary cap.

The Ravens are interested in re-signing linebacker C.J. Mosley, who is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on March 13, so the extra money could help the effort.

He commented after his last game against LAC (albeit emotionally) that it was probably his last game unless the Ravens kept him. Still a chance he could be resigned.

Vet experience, possible leadership for the young pups.
Intel on the baltimore purple pansies. Give him a shot.

HEEEELLLL to the No! Dude is absolutely positively washed up

Steelers don't sign older guys like Weddle. Just haven't done it and probably never will (and I think that's a good formula for the most part). He's done.

If he wants to play for whatever the minimum amount is for a veteran his age, I'd take him for a year with the caveat that he can run at least a 4.6 and is healthy.
