**** the *ts.. that is all
Only Alex Smith, Brady and Wilson have more...
I thing your imaginary summation belongs in a fictional novel.because he's going to retire after this year. You can just see it on the field and in his play. He's not enjoying himself, he seems to lack confidence in his throws, and he wants no part of contact, almost scared in the pocket. He made a helluva play to AB on that game winning drive but this isn't the Ben I have loved to watch since 2004. He just appears off....I don't know what it is. I really think his heart just isn't in it anymore. I hope he goes out a champion, best quarterback we have ever had. He single handedly turn this franchise around when he was drafted. And there is no doubt he is a hall of famer. I just hope we don't go another 20-25 years to find that franchise guy again.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, if Ben really wants to play another year or two, he needs to lose a few pounds. I'm not talking 50 lbs here.. I'm talking about 15 or 20. If he were 15 or 20 lbs. lighter, he'd be more mobile and be able to use his legs more to throw the ball. The older these guys get, the better shape they need to be in to make it through a season and play at this level. Ben has never been a fitness specimen but if he is serious about playing past this year, he better start thinking more along those lines.
I was understanding that if he quit then he would have to give money back due to his signing bonus pro-rate. I could be wrong but I thought it was a decent chunk of change................ ANYBODY know or can expand on this????
He ain't quitin, until after this SB win.
Salute the nation
I think Ben really wants to win, and really wants his guys to be a big part. He knows, like on the play to AB, that he still can do it, but he also knows that there are only a limited number of those plays left for him.
I hate seeing him play at 90%, because that last 10% makes all the difference. I think he wants/needs other guys on O to step up and make that winning effort. This has been missing all year, on a consistent basis. It was evident early in KC, late yesterday, etc.
This team will live or die by its players mskjng those great plays in Dec/Jan (because Haley is an idiot)

It's called age and years of taking hits. It's funny people bitched for years on here because he wouldn't throw the ball away, now he does (and the ex QB calling the game says it was smart) and now people ***** he's throwing it away, hilarious. One area you can see a change and I've almost never seen him do it until this year... Ben throwing the ball away (typically into the ground) when a play breaks down.
In the past, scramble, scramble, scramble, and throw a bomb and stick the dagger in the defense's heart.
NOW, half-*** scramble, throw it away.
Reason --- his wife is in his head about injuries.
I've said it in another thread, when he was out getting his pinky stinky, he played lights out. Since he go married, not so much.

Said this in another thread. I really think he is just fed up with Haley and the drama bs as he has gotten older
I can’t put my finger on it with Ben this year. I don’t think he “check out”. No way. You hear the old school talking heads talk about if I didn’t have to do OTAs, training camp, and just get my body ready I’d be out there. There is no way he did all that not to be 100% for himself, his team and fans. But. There is no fire no emotion, sometimes it seems like he’s not even there. I have a feeling he is so done with Haley and the drama queens on the O. You see it every week. He tries to force **** to whom ever was pissed the week before (AB and MB) to **** them the **** up.
Still happy he is our qb and will be so sad when he is gone but I want the fire back Ben.
