Eagles eyeing Bud Dupree trade?

I doubt there’s any real chance of this happening. Butler and Tomlin love him. Hell, they take T.J. off the field to play Ola rather than taking Bud out. He’s a key part of this **** defense.

He's a key part, but what I saw in that 1st half last Sunday makes me think this defense can become special. I really believe that.

The goddamn offense has to do its job and stop with the 1-2-3 kick ****. The D needs some time off. If the offense can convert, move the ball, control field position, put points on the board now and again if it's not too much trouble, this defense may well surprise you.

Is Durpee a part of that success? No. No, he's not. But Watt, Bush, Haden, Fitz, Nelson, Tuitt, and Heyward look like legit defenders to me.

I would send him AND a draft pick just so they would take him. The Eagles could send a thank you letter in return and I would be ok with that.

I didn't see that at all. If not for the 49ers fumbling the ball (sometimes without even being hit) they score 35+ on this defense. 4 of the 49ers first 5 drives ended with a turnover. They had no problem moving the ball. They just couldn't hold on to it. 2 of those fumbles weren't forced. Just the QB throwing the ball and the guy missing it.

I understand the offense is going to get blamed because the defense is gassed in the 4th but they did the same thing last year. The players on defense look great on paper but they don't play great. Watt is the only one I see that is playing lights out. Everyone else is bad or just average. Heyward and Tuitt show up for a couple of plays a game. Most of the time I forget they are out there.Probably because it's hard to go 2 on 5. This doesn't look like a great D to me.

Kentucky.

Kentucky is not Memphis, and Memphis hates Kentucky in any and all sports, thanks to their shady bullshit ******* basketball coach. **** Calipari and Kentucky athletics.

As an Indiana Hoosier fan, I approve this message.

It's what I've said for years, Tomlin and Colbert keep trotting their suck-*** draft picks out there hoping they get good so it doesn't look like they ****** up another pick. The D now has 10 first round picks, of which 5 are good and 2 of said 5 came from other teams. So Tombert either sucks at drafting defense, sucks at coaching defense, or both.

Pure wild eyed speculation

DE Bud Dupree, Pittsburgh Steelers

Who he is: The 22nd overall pick of the 2015 draft, Dupree came out of Kentucky with high hopes but has struggled to live up to that hype, registering 20 sacks through his first four seasons despite starting almost every game from 2017-2018. Still, he earned a fifth-year option in Pittsburgh for 2019 and remains a starting outside linebacker on one of the league's best young defenses.

Why it makes sense: Dupree is exactly the kind of guy Roseman tends to target -- a relatively big name on a lowly team with some untapped potential and, best of all, an expiring contract.

The $9.2M cap hit is pricey, but Dupree is still just 26, he's got lots of experience, and even if he balls out, the Eagles would be in line for a compensatory-pick reward. He's no surefire difference-maker, but he's definitely on the next tier of emergency pass rush options.

I thought Tuitt might have had the best game of his career in the first half alone. But then the second half happened. And Nelson has been a really solid pick up. I'm with you, they certainly have the talent to be special. Now coaching, not so confident.

It’s coaching mayne.
Tomlin and co have ran their course

Make this happen, we need to allow Dupree to blossom ...the change will give him the fresh start he needs.

Bud might actually be good as a DE in the Eagles wide 9. I think he struggles as a LB and having multiple responsibilities. The Eagles generally just have their DEs rush every play. Bud might do well if he was just able to go get em each play.

I always laugh when I hear people say that the D is on the field soooooooooooo much, because the O can’t do anything. That is the biggest bunch of horseshit. There is NOTHING in the rules that prevents the D from stopping the opposing offense. All the Defense has to do is defend 10 yards, then they can have a seat on the bench. When they are out there for 7 or 8 minutes, while being pushed backwards down the field, that is ALL ON THEM. They can even say **** it and cause a turnover on the first play if they want to. Sure, when the O ***** the bed, they have to go out there more times in a game, but again, nothing requires them to stay out there.

who fukn knows what he can do?? good example, last week the leaders for the pats in tackles and sacks were both cut by the browns. coaching does fukn matter!!! Dupree should fuking rushing the qb like clark did for hawks last year and for the chiefs this year thats it and thats all... he's a better athlete than clark!!! with butler calling the defense all these guys look like duds. I keep hearing how this is Tomlin's defense and for all intent and purposes it is, but its fuking butler standing on the sideline calling plays and calling plays that has Dupree defending the slot receiver and most of the time has him doing anything and everything but getting into the back field and its beyond stupid. trade Dupree hell trade them all it aint going to matter as long as butler is calling plays pure and simple... pittsburgh is the damnedest place its like in a bubble, a world all to itself where they can pretend the goings on in the rest of the NFL doesn't really effect them. well wake the *** up ppl!!! I can understand the Rooneys not firing Tomlin thats the Rooneys thats the way they do **** but the fukn coordnators have gotta go!!!!

Oh Dear Lord, I know you don't care about football and you have more important things to tend to, but please make this true.

WoW, real solid source for all this trade talk. BUD is going no where. Those of you who think this is even remotely true are living in BazZarO world.

you've obbeeuslee not been paying attention to Super Bowl Wining Mister Head Coach Michael Vincent Lombardi Tomlin's offense. We no longer call it "1-2-3-kick ****". Please be respectful and refer to this as "1st down, 2nd down, Pre-Punt, Punt".

Thank you,
