Drink, Drive, get cut

Despite career lows in receptions (33) and yards (446), he has already dropped more passes in 13 games than he managed in any previous season..

Maybe he was playing drunk as well?

Not sue why they said "despite"?

It won't be a Cleveland or any team like that interested in him. Why would you take on 1.4 million dollars of Salary for a guy who will be a FA at the end of the season if you are not in the playoffs. There will be a very select market of teams that are contending, have some cap room or can manipulate numbers that might see him as an upgrade at a Number 2 spot. From what I've seen of our number 2s I'd at least bring him in unless I think he is team cancerous. Everyone and his dog knows that under those circumstances the Pats would look at him. So why not the Steelers. They have claim priority before the Pats, so someone tell me why you would not at least consider.

He's probably facing a league suspension for his 2nd DUI. He's gonna get Goodell'd

Can't be suspended if he is not on a roster. If he wants to be on a roster he is going to be suspended likely at some point, but due process on his DUI won't happen in this season.

I would say Floyd is the equivalent of an NHL rent a player. He comes with some baggage, for sure. Is he significantly more skilled than what is on the roster?

Of course it will. But it will be up to him, his agent and the court if it will fall in the next two months or not. He could choose to plead not guilty and take his suspension next season. No one will sign him this season if that will happen. If he wants his 1.4 million he will have to delay the court.

Sign him. Win trophy 7 and he can have all the booze he wants after the game. Sounds like a win-win to me

Why didn't the Steelers have a look-see?

still sitting on those hands................

let us see if the WR position bites the Steelers or not...............

pats**** have no shame.

I ****** knew it. And you can hate on them and him,but he had to go through the Steelers to get to the Pats. I hope he's the ***** but I don't know. I would have been taking a close look at that.

with Bey and Coates hobbling, and Wheaton out for the season. Nevermind bonghit Bryant being out too.

why wouldn't you?

If you want to be great you tweak when given the opportunity.

You have two green (no pun intended) receivers, and the Steelers have to rely on them in crunch time...............

Was like last year when Bell was hurt and they sat on their hands.

Colbert this is on you, be more aggressive. Get back to the way you once was.............

The Steelers try to take the higher road. They do try. The last time they took a chance on a questionable player, it failed(Blount). I can't blame them for not claiming Floyd, but the whole NFL World knew the Pats would. Damn!
