Draft Thread Rounds 2 and 3

Browns having a good draft

Of course they’re having a good draft. They finish 5-12 every year, get a bunch of top picks, make a bunch of trades, have a zillion early pics, have a great draft and then … go 5-12.

And eight QBs on payroll

Ok…you college draft guru’s. I believe they should double down on WR with one of their 3rd rounders. With speed. but no 5’6 guys. My choice would be Bryce Lance. Who is left that is dynamite in the WR/ KR game?

Why the hell we trade up in the second to get a wr. There hasn't been one drafted since

Because the drop off from Bernard to the next wide receiver is pretty steep. If Bernard is not taken by the Steelers at 47, a very, very, very good chance somebody moves up to 48, 49 or 50 and nabs the guy, knowing the Steelers are gonna take him at 53 so they need to make a move to get him before the Steelers nab him.

The Steelers moved up to prevent that from happening. They didn’t do that with Lemon, and I thought they were stupid. Now they move up to get a great wide receiver, a slot guy who fits every trait they need for the position, and they were stupid for doing so?

Sarcasm from Bleeder just flew by

I don't know - our third round results have been abysmal.
Kaleb Johnson and Roman Wilson are still question marks, but Peyton Wilson is trending upward, Darnell Washington is a weapon in both blocking and the pass game, Alex Highsmith.

Missed on Green and Leal, but that was also previous GM and coach combo. I don't think that's abysmal having three starters since 2020. And Johnson and Wilson haven't been given much opportunity, but they also get fresh starts with an all new staff. Even if they turn out to just be role players, it's still not abysmal.
