Because the drop off from Bernard to the next wide receiver is pretty steep. If Bernard is not taken by the Steelers at 47, a very, very, very good chance somebody moves up to 48, 49 or 50 and nabs the guy, knowing the Steelers are gonna take him at 53 so they need to make a move to get him before the Steelers nab him.
The Steelers moved up to prevent that from happening. They didn’t do that with Lemon, and I thought they were stupid. Now they move up to get a great wide receiver, a slot guy who fits every trait they need for the position, and they were stupid for doing so?
