How is Garnett falling to the third in all of this and some have us selecting him in the first?

that would be remarkable, at least on paper

I love to how Cyrus Jones who likely will be a second round pick is only a B. TJ Green who is likely a 3rd or 4th round pick is a C. Ngakoue who I have seen going from the 2nd to 5th is only an A- in the 7th. And Marshaun Coprich an F in the 7th? Now he's not a household name and if he wouldn't have got pinched last year for trying to sell weed to cops he'd likely be a mid round pick but I do like take a shot with our last pick on talent. He rushed for 4400 yards his last two years and 50 TDs. He ran a sub 4.5 forty and is built like a little tank. I think he'd at very least make the PS this year and maybe give us a back up for Bell once Williams retires.

Looks like they just updated their website since the combine. Many picks moved up and many have moved down. Still not sure how accurate it is.

Here's my first mock of the year. I use Fanspeak, straight-up no trades. Damn it's tough not having a 5-6 rnd pick. I wonder if Colbert is going to look to pick some up along the way.

Curious, what you guys think about Spence as a possible pick for this team?

Curious, what you guys think about Spence as a possible pick for this team?

Great tools, has the size to play OLB, but ran a pedestrian 4.80 40, and the drug issues and the fact that he played a ton of DE at both Ohio State and Eastern Kentucky mean (1) he will need time to learn to be an OLB, and (2) he is a clear risk with so much time on his hands while he is learning to play a new position. I understand that he seemed to turn his life around, and decided to attend Eastern Kentucky to prove that he had straightened out, but guys with a history like this scare me.

Mackenzie was on the board and I was tempted to take him. but with Gay and 'Quez coming back, I really think a DT stud makes tons of sense. Whitehair was too good to pass at 2-25.

I think I could live with this draft. Just couldn't pass up Billings and Dodd sliding to round 2 and Henry in round 3. Still addressed the secondary with 2 CB's in rd 3 and Killebrew at 4-1.

Without trades and with free agent signings

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 25: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson (B)
There's obviously an interest from the Steelers so I went with it. I feel he'd be BPA at this point so if he's there we'd grab him. If not I think we'd go Vernon Butler.

Round 2 Pick 25: Austin Johnson, DT, Penn State (A)
I feel McLendon will likely walk unless his price comes down significantly. We have McCullers who is unproven but we likely have an empty roster spot. This way McCuller and Johnson fight it out for playing time.

Round 3 Pick 25: Miles Killebrew, SS, Southern Utah (B)
Hits like a truck and I know Butler likes physical players. Not sure on his coverage skills but at 6-3 he at least has some height.

Round 4 Pick 25: Jordan Jenkins, OLB, Georgia (A+)
Not a ton of production but a ton of athleticism. I don't feel JJ or Harrison are on the team after 2016 so if this JJ develops we won't have to spend a high draft pick on a edge rusher.

Round 7 Pick 8: Keith Marshall, RB, Georgia (A)
I know we have Bell and Williams but Bell is due for a pay day and can't seem to stay healthy. This pick gives us depth and talent. He has world class speed, nice hips to make cuts, and better hands than you'd expect. I feel a year learning the offense and he could be a dangerous weapon regardless if we re-sign Bell or not.

Round 7 Pick 25: Tyler Johnstone, OT, Oregon (F)
F? Really? If Johnstone's knee checks out this would be a steal. He has had two ACL tears so I don't think he goes extremely high but when healthy he was one of the best OT in college football. He started off slow this year coming back from injury but looked better every week. I feel next year he'd be close to 100% and we would have gotten him with our last pick in the draft. Or he could tear his ACL in training camp. Either way it's risk vs reward. I feel if Johnstone never is injured he's a first round pick.
