I never realized how many wife beaters were roaming around this place. That's awesome to know.
Slow down now hoss, I'm not saying all that. I'm just saying that the women's advocates are who the liberals pander to. That's all. I think reasonable people can agree on that. It's why Obama said he wouldn't let his kids play football. Pandering to women's groups. Nothing more, nothing less.
It's not a side step, you're comparing apples to oranges. Kids are not adults. Period. As for old people, case by case basis. This was a young woman in her prime, not some frail 80 year old who can barely stand up on his own. Not really a good comparison.
And yes, when she decided to use violence instead of words she had it coming. It doesn't make him right, but it does make her wrong. If you park your convertible in a bad neighborhood with the keys in it you deserve what happens to you for being irresponsible. Does that mean the thief has a RIGHT to steal it? Hell no. But it does mean you deserve to have your ride stolen.
So your position here is that women should be given full legal immunity and impunity to use violence against men as they see fit?
So if Coolieman slaps his wife, but it doesn't do any damage, it's OK? Because this is the position that you're taking. Violence is ok so long as there's not "real threat". If you point a dull knife or an empty gun at a cop it's ok because it's not a "real threat"?
Your position is ridiculous.
And this is to say nothing of the fact that if she doesn't hit him in the face NONE OF THIS HAPPENS.
I disapprove of Ray Rice's actions. But in the law we have something called "mitigating circumstances". Being attacked first, in every single state in the union, is a legal mitigating circumstance. The DA in this case saw all the videos in full and chose not to formally charge Rice for good reason: the video shows her as the aggressor.
District Attorneys are, generally speaking, sociopaths. They care nothing of right and wrong or guilt. They care whether or not they can get a conviction or force a plea which will add to their stats and help their careers. They don't drop slam dunk domestic cases. Ever. So this video wass damning TO HER, not him.
had to go back and find it.....not sure I want to know how they taught him that.....I really hope you idiots have given my friend, Stainless, karma for his post....
ok, thanks, and go back to what ur doing....
show this video to any jury and he is convicted. no doubt.
Police don't know you and don't know if the the weapon you are facing them with is dangerous or not....so yeah, they will take you down. mini ray ray was in an elevator with a tiny little woman who he was engaged to....he is a grown ******* man....well male person. she is not attacking when she is knocked out, she is screaming. he being a little ***** escalates to full force punch and could easily have killed her. All the little ***** had to do was hold her wrists or wrap her up in his arms, she would have been helpless.
.
What she did was wrong, and would have been considered simple assault. What he did was wrong and a gross over reaction to an open handed slap, and is extremely obvious to everyone here but a very select few, who might just be solving their own problems with their ******* with a little chin music, but that's just an assumption, being as the ONLY people I've ever heard defend wife beaters, well, you get the idea.
Joe
had to go back and find it.....not sure I want to know how they taught him that.....
If you are dating a female Marine, you deserve the asskicking you will get if you punch her like that.
mini ray ray wasn't dealing with a female Marine, he was dealing with a tiny little woman who he was engaged to.....
So after all that bile, reality finally set in huh?
I guess that's as good a concession speech as any on this board.
Then why wasn't he formally charged? What you're saying makes no sense. The DA had ALL OF THIS INFORMATION, and chose diversion instead of conviction. And keep in mind, Janay herself defended Rice, admitting to being the aggressor. Which is part of why I don't understand your argument. She admitted guilt.
She spit in his face and hit him first. She had it coming and it's just that simple.
Watch closely at the :12 second mark. Her left elbow comes up and his head snaps back. It is only then that he reacts by smacking her. Then, he tries to retreat and she comes screaming at him again, and gets knocked cold. At every step in the process, it is JANAY PARKER who is the aggressor. And she herself has tried and tried to make it clear that this was as much her fault as his, but because all of you politically correct pansies can't stand your ground equally against female abusers as males, lies are propagated over and over.
She hit him first. And no one discusses this fact.

Originally they both were charged with simple assault. However, once the video was shown to the Grand Jury, Rice's chargers were raised "to aggravated assault-bodily injury in the third degree and one count of simple assault. If convicted, Rice faced a penalty of three to five years in prison."
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11495795/prosecutor-office-defends-ray-rice-decision
Apparently the Grand Jury had more sense than the prosecutor.
The reason this video is so jumpy is that it's been edited. Chunks of it are missing, particularly at the beginning when both are still talking. Also, the full video has sound. TMZ cut parts out of it to make her look more sympathetic and the audio of her cursing and spitting is pretty damning which is WHY there is no sound.

I love everyone's self righteousness (media and fans). Rice only needs one person's forgiveness and since she married him after the fact,
I assume he got it. I don't know their history, but this could have been a one-time thing. Couples know how to push each others buttons,
so while no female every deserves physical abuse, I know females know how to use words to enrage their man. Saying certain things
can cause a version of temporary insanity where someone will do something outside of their normal behavior.
Without knowing the whole story, I can't judge this.
How do you ever hope to resolve the issue of domestic violence if you're only going to prosecute return-fire? That makes no damn sense at all. Women have to be held accountable for their actions, just as men do. If a woman escalates a conversation to violence, and her actions precipitate more violence then it seems only logical that preventing the inciting attack is key.
You're basically saying we shouldn't have retaliated for 9/11 because we have more firepower. And I call bullshit.
Oh Jesus Christ. He tried to kiss her as she walked by, because she's clearly the one upset. If he spit on her, why didn't she wipe her face? You mean she just kept on walking with a face full of spit? Come on man. I hate the Ravens as much as anyone, but the bias has gone too far.
And I repeat: if she throws no blows, no blows are thrown. Bottom line. In the immortal words of Agent J, "Don't start none, won't be none."
You seem to have serious problem with female accountability. Women, to hear you tell it, should be completely immune to prosecution or responsibility of any kind for their actions. Why? Because they're smaller. And like I said to Farva, that justfies all kinds of bullshit, like Al Queda attacking the US because they're smaller. We should just let that slide too right?
This has only been reported. The video showing her spitting has not yet been released.
That's just it, she's not a 10 year old. She's a full grown woman with all the legal responsibilities of such a status. You are aware that women have killed men. That women have beaten men to death.
She's not a kid. She's an adult. Adults have to be accountable for their actions. At what point are you going to admit that she's responsible for escalating a CONVERSATION to VIOLENCE? At what point will you allow her to be accountable for herself?

Harvey Levin is a raving liberal, just in case you didn't know.

Wow. I can tell you this. After seeing the footage from inside the elevator I would be willing to bet everything I own that it wasn't the first time he has struck her. His body language wasn't "Oh ****, what have I done?" It was, "Now I have to find a way to drag her *** back to the room." ****, he even kicked her legs to get them out of the way of the elevator door. Her standing by him makes her either a special kind of stupid, or someone who has absolutely nobody in her life who can help get her out of it. There is absolutely nothing my wife could say or do to me that would make me punch her in the ******* head like that. (Save the what if she had a weapon bullshit) Watch it again, he couldn't wait for that elevator door to close and get her alone.

It might have still happened, you don't know. In fact I'd bet it's happened before with Rice....this one just got videoed.
