Don't think Ray Rice will be defended anymore...

It's pretty simple IMO they all knew about it they all saw the video. I know this because I did the day after the news broke many weeks ago. I watched it!! They act like this video has never been released before that's total bullshit. If they didn't see it that was because they choose not to not because it wasn't available. Yeah Roger wants everyone to think he handed down punishment with out having the facts(video). Only because Tmz ran the video Again and ran it on their social media did they change the punishment.

I think the league shouldhave suspended him,, I thin the ravens went over the top. I think he is wrong for hitting his GF / wife. Shouldn't do it. I think the league should mandate a lengthy suspension and the completion of some kind of therapy,, as well as a nice chunk of money dontated to a womens shelter.

I don't think what he did is right by any means. But to me the reaction to the video is over the top. We knew before this he knocked her out. .

I assumed it was a bit more self defense... The only thing he was in danger of was not getting any *** that night.

You can't tell me that the Ravens and the League are just seeing this video for the first time. I don't believe that for a second. So, assuming that everyone on the inside knew the extent of the violence of the attack and had seen the video, why would they have tried to salvage it and get away with a 2-game suspension?

spygate...

Money talks and money makes things disappear. I'm not re-hashing all this again. It's been done to death. Suffice to say, switch the uniforms on the two players and you and quite a few others are defending a different guy and demonizing the other.

**** you, you smug piece of ****. You start going on and on about how this and that makes it this way or that, I post the ******* DA giving the complete reasoning with a ************* timeline, and all the sudden "I don't wanna rehash that". So, you got your *** handed to you all torn and bloody, and now you don't want to rehash it. I read every ************* doc that was out when this thing broke, and you and those with your moronic opinion were stomped to shitville then, and only now when you think we've all forgotten enough about the original case do you come and try the same old bullshit arguments again.

Down To ****. That's gotta hurt the little angels credibility a wee bit right there, wouldn't ya say? Did you NOTICE the DA verifying that she was indeed wearing a ************* DOWN TO **** pin? Did you notice that when she was first asked, she said NO (No money involved there, just a college kid being honest) then the second time, well maybe, and the third, yeah, kinda. Gee, ya think a ******* jury would have had a field day with that too?

I really hope you ******* are just here stirring ****, because if you're really that ******* STUPID and a Steeler fan, it makes me question how we can both like the same team.

Joe

Again, I know you are the president of the he-man wimmin haters club, but you are nuts. There is such a thing as proportionality. He could have killed her. He was unlikely to be even slightly injured by her words or the way she swatted him away. Not to mention, this isn't a stranger randomly poking him, this is the mother of his children and a woman he supposedly loves.

How is thinking women should be held to the same standards as men hating women? If you want to demand equality then be equal which means if you hit a man you can't claim "I'm a girl and you cant hit me back cause I'm delicate".

LMAO! You think you cherry picking quotes from the DA somehow justifies your erroneous position? Double LMAO!

He spit on her. She gave him a slight shove. I would say he has the right to give her a slight shove back. That's "equality".

Even if you were to discount his massive advantage in size and strength, which only a giant ***** would do, she did not even come close to harming him in any way. He could have killed her. That's not "equality".

Sorry you're too dense to understand that, but I am done with this conversation.

What a dumb ***** that she married this turd brain!

I hope Rice gets the help he needs but he'll never be the same RB at an NFL level that he once was.

I will say his women can take a punch! That was just brutal!

The point I'm trying to make here is, in a domestic dispute, as a male you're going to lose 100% of the time. Rather you're the aggressor or the one taking it like a man, because people will do whatever they want as long as they know they can get away with it. Yeah Jay Z wasn't really phased too much from it, but i gaureentee if no one else was there holding her back & Jay just stood there and took it he wouldn't of been as ok as he was after. I'm just saying the punishment should be fair on both sides.

Yes, it should. I would have no problem with her being arrested for assault for that. No problem whatsoever. Dos that mean Jay-Z would have been within his rights to knock her out with a closed fist to the head? Not necessarily. If it was the only way to defend himself, maybe. Which was clearly NOT the case with Ray Rice.

a little push or aggressive attitude by a female should not be met with a vicious left fist from an grown *** man....

It should be but like hate crimes it will always be lopsided and that is why the new rule sucks ***.

Neither Solange nor Ray were charged with a crime, so I'm not sure how the two cases can be considered evidence of lopsided treatment. I guess Solange wasn't fired from her job (does she have one, beyond Beyonce hanger-on?).

That said, I have no doubt that as long as Roger's in charge the policy will not be applied fairly or consistently, so I'm with you there.

She's likely had plenty of practice. Would bet the house it wasn't the first KO. Nothing right about it and yet she still comes back for more. WTF?

In order for one to have an "erroneous" position, one must be in error.

To be in error means to be wrong on a fact.

I am not wrong on any fact. You have no evidence that proves anything to the contrary.

Your *** is still bloody, you're just stuffing tampons in it now.

Joe

Yes, actually he does. Just because he's the star QB for the Black and Gold doesn't exclude him. And had the video footage of Rice's assault mysteriously been erased like the Millyvegas bar tape, people would be claiming there's no evidence against him, either.

or like the facebook and twitter accounts the sorority girls tried to delete that spelled out a conspiracy to get Ben back for being a piggish ******* to one of their boyfriends, which the cops easily recovered... read the whole account the DA put out... you know where the bathroom they claimed he raped her in wasn't big enough to do what they claimed or how the girl almost instantly retracted her claims once the police were actually raising questions about the discrepancies in her story... that tape went missing because it had other illegal activity the bar owner didn't want the cops looking into. they showed them the tape the night of the incident in a very limited timeframe and the cops didn't even take a copy. From my mgmt. days I can say several times cops asked to look at our tapes and never took anything unless there was something really on there. I can also say way back in the day the grocery store I worked at had a slip and fall that was totally bogus and the owners son erroneously erased the tape which would have saved them...

Not every accusation is true. this one about Rice is 100 corroborated by the tape.

You're erroneous, because Ben has money, and that's why. No evidence of wrongdoing on his part needed, just the accusation, which is automatically true, since he has money. And of course, he used his money, to pay her off, even though that would be tampering/obstruction, and would lead to far far worse consequences than would just letting it go to court and tearing her a new one with the umpteen different versions of the story she told. Cause, ya know, Hollywood says so.

Joe

So here is the take away here:
1. Its painfully obvious that Goodell knew about this tape and the minute it was going public he changed his stance. The guy reacts on public opinion, not fact. He is a lawyer and a dirtbag. He sould be ousted but his actions have made the owners a mint so he gets a free pass.
2. Rice is done. He wont play this year and without being signed he may not play next year. RBs have a massive decline in their late 20's to early 30's. They used to think it was the legs that went but now they speculate its repeated hits to the head that slow reaction times as they age which lead to this and Rice has a lot of hits on him already. he would be getting back in the league at best in the downturn of his abilities and teams aren't going to want that bad PR for less than optimal value with a guy like that.
3. I have had a girl literally go nuts on me for no reason before, slapping and punching me over a perceived wrong that never happened. Im not nearly as built as Rice, she was bigger than his wife. I managed to stop her without ever hitting or hurting her because whether people like it or not average men are stronger than average women. Maybe with a weapon involved where his life was really at risk there would be some sort of situation where clocking her like that was justified, but what we saw on tape there was just an angry man taking out frustration with his fists. the guy should be in prison and certainly should be out of the league.

The Ravens must have knew this was coming. there was no reason for them to suddenly make cap room they never used and mysteriously promote another RB from the practice squad. The NFL Must have been trying to keep this under wraps but the Ravens were preparing for what was going to happen if they couldn't keep it off the airwaves. I think maybe they thought had the source tied up, but between the Lawyers and police and disenfranchised Casino workers, they knew it was getting out eventually. The sudden turnaround in this matter a few weeks back makes too much sense if they knew a copy was going to get out.

Ray Lewis feeling holier than thou is just ******* pathetic, **** him.

Brody Logan @BrodyLogan
Harvey Levin from @TMZ told @TonyPerkinsFOX5 they will release news tomorrow that the NFL knew about the Ray Rice video & turned a blind eye

-if this is true Goodel might not be long for the role of commish. Harbaugh and Ozzie ought to be awfully worried too if the Ravens knew how bad it was and played it off.

Goodell isn't going anywhere, sad to say. He's just going to do the job the owners pay him for: absorb and/or deflect the damage until people forget about it. Again, it's just not possible that the owners and league officials are only just now seeing this video, so they're all complicit, and finding a new commish is not a good business move compared to just weathering the storm.

This time next year, the story will be, "Isn't it awesome how Roger Goodell and the NFL took a stand against domestic violence?"
