I do not one time recall Ben speaking out on this issue. Not once. The second he and his legal team saw where this was headed, he shut up, which is EXACTLY what any sane person does. Ask ANY lawyer if you should grant the police an interview, even if your 100% innocent, and see what they tell you.
They tell you "shut up, and let me do the talking". There is good reason for that.

I think someone has some reading to do. Search the internet, find the PDF's of the police reports, lots and lots of reading there. Then look for the social media posting of all the sorority sisters, and come back here. Once you can tell us all that, we will be glad to have an informed discussion with you, till then, go **** yourself.

First accusation of rape wasn't by the alleged "victim"; it was by her friends. An accusation that she immediately denied. She didn't start talking about rape until after meeting with her sorority sisters and her story changed numerous times throughout the process. While he never came out and directly said it, the DA pretty much implies that little miss "DTF" and her sorority sisters were unreliable witnesses.
As for your assigning of guilt based upon taking the suspension sitting down. Hmmm what the **** could he do? There was no way Roger was going to lower the suspension even if he pointed to the results of the investigation by the DA. And in the court of public opinion he would have just been rocking the boat and opening himself up to more bullshit. Personally, I think he should have appealed the suspension if only to keep *** hats from pointing to the fact that he was suspended as "proof" of guilt that somehow overrides the fact that he was never charged. Like Goodell's justice is somehow more above reproach than the legal system and the DA's findings. I think we see where that kind of thinking gets us.
Ben was a sacrifice to the media/public outrage. Nothing more and nothing less.
But, here's a lil reading for you. The transcript form the DA's press conference. You'll find that he states many times that "something" happened, but that he can not classify it as illegal, etc.

We just want to see consistency. If Ben got 4 games for no evidence and no charges then other players proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt should get more. From the beginning in Ray Rice's case.

Why read up on it? I remember the DA acting disgusted with him. I'm confident Ben has serious regrets about it. I don't care about specifics, I just know it was shameful and there's no use defending it.
Yeah well, some of us remember Jerome Bettis being accused of sexual assault too (at least Bussy got him some, unlike Ben) but it turned out to be a blackmail plot and the other people went to jail.
Sure because mister small-town DA (and probably a Falcons fan) would have LOVED to lock up a SB-winning QB but didn't have a shred of evidence, no witnesses, no video, no DNA, no nuthin'. If they had ANYTHING they would have jumped on it like a ham sandwich. Hell, if you could arrest someone for being a douchebag the Pittsburgh cops would have done that to Ben long ago.
Again, all most of us are saying is that if Roger The Dodger wants to suspend Ben for four games that's fine, but then he has to give other players stiffer penalties for doing worse things. Just be consistent. But he doesn't. Ben and James Harrison get worse penalties than other players.

I doubt it had anything to do with football. No DA looks forward to going up against high powered attorneys in high profile cases. He had little evidence and one witness who was too drunk to recall much of anything. On the face of it, it looked bad and still does.anybody with any objectivity feels that way.
I hate Goodell as much as anyone. But if a similar incident to Bens happened again I sure think the player would get suspended. I don't recall Harrison getting suspended for his domestic violence charge. To suggest anything has to do with a vendetta against the Steelers is ridiculous.
Jameis Winston got nothing as I recall. Ray Rice's case had FAR more evidence obviously and he originally got two games.

Acting like a pig in a bar full of tipsy college girls is not admirable, but it's not a crime. Raping someone is a crime. I don't defend either, don't respect or admire either, but one is certainly way worse than the other.

Depending on what acting like a pig means and what tipsy means it's not a crime. I'm not convinced what happened with Ben was a crime, but I am convinced he played a big role in getting himself in trouble which was my original point.

I think it's people believing what they want to believe. Ravens fans like to believe Ray Lewis isn't guilty of anything beyond obstruction of justice which is a FACT, right? The FACT is you and I will never know ALL of the FACTS surrounding Bens case. You can believe he did absolutely nothing wrong but something causes public perception.

Remember he determined that no competitive advantage was gained from the tapes and then promptly destroyed them so no other team could use them to gain a competitive advantage.
Perhaps theRay Rice tape that the NFL says they never received met a similar fate?
The FACT is many here listened to all the tapes that were released and read many of the other documents that were published, so they are more informed on that topic. YOU choose to go on what the DA said publicly and not care about any thing else....public perception is molded by the media who have very little interest in facts and only give a **** about ratings
