Ray was just playing the knockout game. no crime. why the uproar?
Hmmmm ... didn't recall that happening (admitting "banging a drunk stranger in a public bathroom").
Really? What do you recall as Ben's side of the story and the undisputed facts surrounding the allegation?

http://www.macon.com/2010/04/13/1092301/da-no-criminal-charges-to-be-filed.html“The sexual allegations against Ben Roethlisberger cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt,” said Bright, a prosecutor for about 28 years.
Bright dismissed an earlier media report saying that Roethlisberger told police he’d had consensual sex with the 20-year-old as false, saying Roethlisberger had said very little after his initial statement.
I do not one time recall Ben speaking out on this issue. Not once. The second he and his legal team saw where this was headed, he shut up, which is EXACTLY what any sane person does. Ask ANY lawyer if you should grant the police an interview, even if your 100% innocent, and see what they tell you.
They tell you "shut up, and let me do the talking". There is good reason for that.
Joe
And if someone from another organization "shut up", you'd be howling in outrage.
OK Iif you supplied an extremely intoxicated underage girl, who is now accusing you of rape, with alcohol and also disappeared into a public bathroom with her, have played a big role in getting yourself into a predicament.
Everyone happy?
Let's face it, if he wasn't guilty of something I doubt he would have taken the suspension sitting down.
But, here's a lil reading for you. The transcript form the DA's press conference. You'll find that he states many times that "something" happened, but that he can not classify it as illegal, etc.

Again, either read up on the subject or just be quiet.
Yeah well, some of us remember Jerome Bettis being accused of sexual assault too (at least Bussy got him some, unlike Ben) but it turned out to be a blackmail plot and the other people went to jail.I wouldn't say it was solely on an accusation. If you admit to banging a drunk stranger in a public bathroom that is now accusing you of rape, you have played a big role in getting yourself into a predicament.
Sure because mister small-town DA (and probably a Falcons fan) would have LOVED to lock up a SB-winning QB but didn't have a shred of evidence, no witnesses, no video, no DNA, no nuthin'. If they had ANYTHING they would have jumped on it like a ham sandwich. Hell, if you could arrest someone for being a douchebag the Pittsburgh cops would have done that to Ben long ago.I remember the DA acting disgusted with him.
I doubt it had anything to do with football. No DA looks forward to going up against high powered attorneys in high profile cases. He had little evidence and one witness who was too drunk to recall much of anything. On the face of it, it looked bad and still does.anybody with any objectivity feels that way.Sure because mister small-town DA (and probably a Falcons fan) would have LOVED to lock up a SB-winning QB but didn't have a shred of evidence, no witnesses, no video, no DNA, no nuthin'. Ben and James Harrison get worse penalties than other players.
Now beat it troll and crawl back under your bridge.
Jameis Winston got nothing as I recall. Ray Rice's case had FAR more evidence obviously and he originally got two games. But if a similar incident to Bens happened again I sure think the player would get suspended.
You're new here.To suggest anything has to do with a vendetta against the Steelers is ridiculous.
Why read up on it? I remember the DA acting disgusted with him. I'm confident Ben has serious regrets about it. I don't care about specifics, I just know it was shameful and there's no use defending it.

Depending on what acting like a pig means and what tipsy means it's not a crime. I'm not convinced what happened with Ben was a crime, but I am convinced he played a big role in getting himself in trouble which was my original point.Acting like a pig in a bar full of tipsy college girls is not admirable, but it's not a crime. Raping someone is a crime. I don't defend either, don't respect or admire either, but one is certainly way worse than the other.
I think it's people believing what they want to believe. Ravens fans like to believe Ray Lewis isn't guilty of anything beyond obstruction of justice which is a FACT, right? The FACT is you and I will never know ALL of the FACTS surrounding Bens case. You can believe he did absolutely nothing wrong but something causes public perception.by which you mean you don't care about the FACTS....just the public perception.....typical of the ******* ignorant folks that **** up this country
Remember he determined that no competitive advantage was gained from the tapes and then promptly destroyed them so no other team could use them to gain a competitive advantage.Basically the league needs to take Rog's judgement out of it and come up with a list of punishments and penalties for various crimes because Rog cannot be trusted. Now where are those Pats* tapes?
