Deflategate Investigation: Complete ... Awaiting Report.

Boy, you guys are tough.

I think the punishment is definitely in line. The team loses their 2016 first round draft pick and got a $1 million dollar fine.

Personally, I guess you could have suspended Brady for 2 games and Belichick for 1 game, but this is probably a more harsh penalty in terms of their 2015 season and W-L record.

Should have been 1 year plus two games. Billy cheat should have to sir out 8 games. But here we are folks.....the nfl....slanted beyond belief.

40 lashes!

Patriots treated as repeat offenders, thanks to Spygate

The NFL’s harsh punishment of the Patriots for Deflategate was motivated in part by the team’s prior offense in Spygate.

The league’s statement on Deflategate discipline makes clear that the decision to strip the Patriots of a first-round draft pick next year and a fourth-round draft pick in 2017 in addition to imposing a $1 million fine was motivated in part by Spygate.

Darth hoodie keeps playing Jedi mind tricks on goodell and the rest of the puppets

i like the idea of a Super Bowl celebration game that Brady isn't the quarterback of....

4 games is good and the Patriots are still known as a team that never won a Super Bowl without cheating.

And it makes no difference they still have 4 championships

Here's the thing. If I'm an NFL team and I think I've found a way to cheat, this penalty (and the spy gate penalty) isn't making me second guess myself.

The money is small beans, draft picks are always a gamble, and 4 games ( if it stands) isn't going to keep them out of the playoffs.

Every team would give up what New England is giving up if it meant winning a Super Bowl.

The taintriots deserve a lot more punishment. If a complete investigation were made, I mean full cavity search kind of investigation, they would find Darth hoodie behind the cheat.
How long have they been doing it? How many homefield advantage games did they get out of it?
How many bets did they taint with that crap?

They are a goddamn shame to the sport

It won't be four games. Rog' doesn't have the "testicular fortitude" to see this thing through to make the 4 games stick. In reality, all he has to do is point to the judge's ruling in the Rice appeal and state "this is an NFL matter, and as Judge Jones has previously acknowledged, I have the right and power under the CBA to impose punishment as I see fit." Of course, he won't do this ... so Brady will ultimately sit 2 games and Bell will sit three.

The punishment is complete bullshit and it just further adds to how "Roger's NFL" just sickens me.

Once again he does not hurt the team when they have a soft schedule and play one East team in this time period. Bell should voice displeasure as well as the owners in God-del drops this to two games. Integrity means what???

Really?

This is probably the most we could have hoped, given there being no concrete evidence of Brady's direct involvement.

I was thinking best case would be two games and a couple mid round picks.

I never dreamed the Patriots would lose next year's first from this.

Got to agree with Vader on this. They get a ring out of it...They got three the time before. You tell me was it worth it for them? Hell yes!!!! They should of dropped the hammer down to prevent anyone from thinking of doing anything like this again, but then again you think they might of done that after spygate. Maybe next time they will get serious about a punishment for teams that clearly cheat.

They gave Peyton a year and he knew nothing. Brady not only knew it, it was probably his idea. Remember ignorance is not an excuse so the coach should be responsible just like Peyton. But not only is Belicheat not suspended for his ignorance but Brady gets a 2 game suspension (after appeal) even though he hindered the investigation and refused to give them anything. Hell Ben got suspended 4 games and he was never even arrested or questioned. Brady gets 4 games for impeding an investigation and cheating for years.

You weren't going to find a punishment that would satisfy everyone. I thought he'd get 2. He got 4. I'm satisfied. I'm not arguing that I wanted more. Hell I'd have suspended him and Belicheat for the whole season. But that wasn't happening folks. If someone like me thinks it's reasonable you can only imagine what the Pats fans and Brady apologists think. They must be ******** themselves.

Yeah...it was fair......4 games for Brady. $1 million fine. A couple of draft picks.....what did they get? Just another ring. I'm sure there are a bunch of teams out there that would give that up for a ring. It actually pays to cheat is the message the NFL has sent out here.

They should have been forced to go night clubbing with Aaron Hernandez.

The NFL just protecting their own interest like they did after spygate. I finally thought I got over spygate and now this....My interest in the NFL has never been lower. I will watch the Steeler's but nothing else. Hell maybe one day that will even fade. I never thought I would be where I am today with my fanhood in the NFL. They should be ashamed. Every F'n owner has sold out!!!

As part of the league’s announcement of the punishment of the team and Tom Brady for #DeflateGate, the Patriots admitted that “employees John Jastremski and James McNally have been indefinitely suspended without pay by the club, effective on May 6th.

Let me be clear here.

The Patriots cheated (again) and HAVE been severely punished. How a team losing their QB for the first four games of the upcoming season and their number one pick next Spring is being viewed a lenient here is beyond me.

This is different from the Sean Payton situation in that Greg Williams was part of Payton's coaching staff.

A QB has a relationship with the team's equipment people that often excludes the rest of the organization.

Do I think Belichick knew? **** yeah, but he is much better at lying and covering his tracks than Brady.

Given there was barely enough hard evidence here to punish Brady, we should be happy with this.

What's been disclosed would not hold up in a court of law.

.

Does anyone know how or if Marsha's suspension will affect training camp or preseason or the the run up to the season in any way?

Probably nothing at all. The P*ts will get plenty of time to get Jimmy ready, legally and illegally I'm sure, with all kinds of help from T*m to play for 4 games or, more than likely, 2 games once the league caves to Kr*ft and Br*dy's pressure.
