Deer in headlights Tomlin is back

True but as a head coach you need to take the higher percentage play. If I don't have confidence in my D, I don't give the opposing team a short field. Worst coaching decision at the worst possible time.

I agree i kick off..

Don't worry we will unleash hell next year.........you just watch.

I don't know why everyone is so pissed at Tomlin?
Winning record, AFCN titles, HOF bound Pro Bowl players, coaches "from the gut"?
Yes, sarcasm button on.

WHY IS TOMLIN AND HALEY NOT FIRED YET?
They chose to lose, hands down...any of your Tomlin sheep want to defend him, your as ignorant as he is
Even the worst HS coaches don't call an onside kick in that situation

Because despite the whining by fans and some questionable decisions today we are not going to fire Tomlin, get over it not happening he is still a top coach in this league.

Oh stop being Tomlin’s jock strap holder. He is NOT a top coach. Please, name some things he does as a coach that makes him special?

We win due to the talent we have making plays in spite of Tomlin.

We are stuck with this below the line head coach, Name another coach who loses a 45-42 shootout to the Jags and Blake Bortles ? We never had the lead and never had the ball with a chance to tie the game in the 4th quarter. That my friends is a poorly coached team.

Stop being an irrational hater and look at what we have and get over the anger at the loss.

We have the most stacked roster in the NFL and can't win a playoff game unless the other team is playing their backup QBs, we suck at the head coach position.

You think the deer in the headlights version of Mikey Sunglasses ever left?

Man that's cute.

Its really horrible. Me as a professional couch coach would have won this game with all the talent around. Bring back QB sneaks, FB runs and these simple high percentage plays for short yardage. It´s nice to see a 40 yards bomb connecting on 4th and short, but the chances are low...We always try trickery and surprise plays. Damn, I miss the 3 yards and a cloud of dust from the Bettis era. Opponents knew it was coming and couldn´t stop it anyway... We have a damn good fullback in Rosie, very good interior linemen, and Bell can skip his patience routine and run it up the gut every once in a while.

During the press conference of Ben you could see the frustration again, especially when they asked him about the QB sneak... Makes me sad and I hope we´ll find some solution next season.

After we went down 0-21 I realized a lot of it had to do with the long layoff. Considering the stars sat against Cleveland, then the bye week, plus AB's injury, it was almost three weeks since Ben, AB, Leveon were on the field. Simply too long a period of inactivity playing against a fired-up and riled-up Jaguars team. Having said that, the offense fought back hard and made some huge splash plays to cut it to seven at the end of 3.

The defense was downright horrible, nothing left to say on that end.

I would not mind seeing a complete overhaul of coaching staffs on both sides of the ball. Too much group think and stale ideas. It's time for a fresh approach and a new perspective, be it with a new OC to replace Haley, and a completely new defensive staff. This current group has run its course.

Way to not answer the question. The same question that has been asked on this board hundreds of times, and we never get an answer. What makes Tomlin a special coach? What is it that he does well?

He is the worst situational football coach in the league. On par with Marvin Lewis with his decision making. How many bubble screens have we ran this year? We lose yards or gain 1. Think the head coach would remove it from haleys playbook. Nope no adjustments. Remember the Ravens game we passed on 2nd and 3rd down with 42 seconds. Ravens had one timeout. Both passes incomplete. Run the ball twice and kicked the field goal with 4 seconds. We chose to give the ball back the team with the kicker in the league with 42 seconds and a timeout Why not kick with 4 seconds. Why not use your timeouts yesterday on the front side of the 2 minute warning instead of letting seconds tick off for
No reason. No clue. We don't live in our fears for not making smart decisions over and over again.

if only we had a player that could set the edge and rush the passer we might have won.

Tomlin ******* sucks. Anyone who is satisfied with what he has done as coach is a loser.

Quote from belichick below. What coach do you think has a better understanding of the game and using talent.

He’s been good to work with. He’s a very, as we know, a very experienced player and even though some of our terminology is different he understands basic football concepts very well and what his responsibility is and how to play that responsibility. He’s been good. He’s been very dependable. The things he’s been asked to do, he’s done.

You can count on him and that’s a good thing. It allows everybody to play aggressively and he’s an aggressive player. He’s been productive. He had several good plays against the run last night, caused a penalty and that was part of stopping a drive with his good play out there on the perimeter. He’s given us some plays in pass rush and he’s got good awareness in pass coverage. He’s dropped into coverage and he’s done a good job on that in a couple of examples of that the last two games. He’s been good to work with.

He’s very professional , wants to do well, studies, asks questions. I’ve enjoyed working with him.

This year was our best chance since the Packers game to get #7. Supremely talented, almost completely healthy besides Shazier, WC round bye.. ******* embarrassing.

We out-talented them, and they outcoached us. This embarrassment lies *squarely* on the shoulders of the coaching staff. This cannot stand

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard!

We weren't smart enough to utilize Harrison. Shocking.

That sure as hell looks like an epic **** up now doesn't It? What a shame it went down like that. This year turned into a drama cluster **** from hell.

Our entire defense and the OL need to be hitting the Iron this off season like JH. They're too soft and pudgy.

I think this is unfair to our players. Our players work very hard - you can tell. They are passionate and they care. But some of them are not able to focus enough on the task at hand - each opponent each week - due to a culture led by their head coach that promotes arrogance and putting the cart before the horse.

And are people still really debating the onside kick? It was a BAD MOVE, period. It was objectively bad, there is no debate. Even if you think it was not likely that we would stop their offense, which is true, it was still MUCH MORE LIKELY THAN RECOVERING AN ONSIDE KICK. We haven't done it successfully in a decade, we don't even appear to practice it since it gets ****** up every time we try, and even around the league the percentages are very low. And you know exactly what Jacksonville is going to do - try to run it down your throat for a first down and run clock. You have two timeouts and the two minute warning on your side - you HAVE to kick it out of the end zone there. You absolutely have to

Thats directed more at coaches and a select few trash talking players who need to shut it and play
